The trailer has some good editing, especially with the different human-bot pairings scattered.

Hmmm.. I would like to point out that the Beast Hunters Prime voyager toy has a very Smokescreen-ish face on it.

Holy smokes... umm after looking at the packaging art for the face, I have to say you have made a very good point. Would be strange if Smokescreen pulls a movie Jetfire and sacrifices himself to be parts for Optimus.

I'm afraid it would be more the other way around, with Smokescreen wearing OP's corpse as necro-armor in order to instill fear in the Decepticons. OP doesn't seem the type to go for the monster truck design, after all. Smokescreen? He'd be all over it.

It's more to do with the length of the face and the smaller width of the chin. The Beast Hunters Prime seems to have a longer face than his predecessor, and a thinner chin - attributes more in line with Smokescreen. You have to ignore the respective "helmets" of each 'bot. It doesn't hurt the shape of Beast Hunters Prime looks younger and "softer" to me than that of Prime Prime - more attributes of Smokescreen.

Plus, if you take away the red parts of Smokescreen's headcrest and leave the white "Prime" part and add Prime's ear antennas.......looks damn near identical and CAN"T BE UNSEEN ONCE YOU DO IT!

Plus, who's to say Optimus won't put Smokescreen in charge so he can go all out murder-rage on Megs and Predaking?

Replace "nose" with " little stub between the eyes".

This trailer gives me high hopes for Beast Hunters! In one word: EPIC! The serious tone continues and the stakes are even higher than before. I also really like how the 'Bots are separated and will have to work to come together. However, I do hope they come together sooner rather than later since there's only 13 episodes.

I agree with most of you as well that they seem to be strongly hinting at more Autobots joining with Team Prime. I really hope this is true and that (again) this happens sooner rather than later.

I guess my biggest fear is that everything will be rushed this season and good plot points will not be very developed because of the brevity of the season. It feels like they're introducing a lot and have promised a lot but I don't know how feasible that is in 13 episodes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

I think its pretty obvious that Optimus will recover. But as for the whole Smokescreen as leader idea, I don't think so.
Seems more likely to me that Magnus will take over part time as prime. Why else would we be getting two Magnus with the forge instead of his own hammer? And BH Optimus Prime does have a faceplate. It's the toy that doesn't.

What if Smokescreen becomes Ultra Magnus? I've seen crazier things, and he's similar colours... (also is a nod to g1 magnus' 'inner robot' being white)
