Also I hope that Soundwave is part of a Protoform preview assortment. The Prime and Starscream were actually some of my favorite movie figures.

As a deluxe protoform, it's fine, and nice blend of the movie and Cybertron styles. I won't get it, since I only get one toy per character, but I'm not gasping in disappointment the way I would be if this were the main toy. Not my thing, but not bad, and the face looks enough like Soundwave that we can recognize him.

Don't like it...any chance they're throwing out false info like with the movie, or in this case figures, to throw people off and they'll release the actual cool Soundwave at the appropriate time?

In all seriousness I like it. I'm probably going to pick this up when it hits shelves. I hope he has another form though and not just as a satellite.

Dang G1 Soundwave totally dwarfs this version! Now, IMHO, this incarntion of Soundwave isn't too bad. I can tollerate it. The face still looks like Soundwave, & that makes me happy. Now, all we need is for Frank Welker to voice him & we'll be good.

That is a Predator wannabe triple changer. Soundwave it is not. Give me the orginal Soundwave any day. Even if it is an outdated tape deck.
