Postby Skowl » Sun Jul 29, 2007 9:14 am

After a busy saturday at San-Diego Comic-Con, with the unveiling of new Movie Figures, new Classics and New "Animated" toys as well as our first glimpse of the new "Animated" Series in action, Tformers has been updated with some new stock photos of the new figures from the Transformers Movie toyline.

The new figures, schedule for release later this year and into next year, will go under the name "Allspark Power" and, according to the Hasbro panel report, and will feature blue parts on the figures to represent the Allspark energy. Now fans can get a look at some of these figures, including First Strike Optimus Prime (G1-deco Voyager Prime), Cliffjumper (2008 Camaro Bumblebee repaint), Landmine (Sector Seven Dune Buggy), Evac (Rescue copter repaint of Blackout with new head sculpt), Incinerator (Decepticon Osprey, Voyager-class), Stockade (Cadillac Escalade), Nightwatch Optimus Prime and Desert Attack Brawl.

I wonder what landmine's and stockade's weapons are and does that prime have only 1 foot transfored! and I like how landmine and longarm are outbots and they helped the bots and humans at mission city and how stockae is a decepticon and he kidnapped sam and mikaela! and the cliffjumper would look better is he had full stripes!

Oh thank God! Brawl does have ball jointed ankles! Why is this the only time I've seen someone putting them to good use?

Ah, the obvious Bumblebee to Cliffjumper repaint! The comfort of the familiar.

First Strike Optimus looks a bit too red in robot mode.

My thoughts:

First Strike Prime: I see what they were trying to do... I don't think it really worked out, plus the Voyager Prime mold really isn't that great.

Cliffjumper: Yawn... saw this one coming a mile away... I'll pass.

Landmine: Cool vehicle mode, robot sucks - that head is awful.

Evac: Awesome! Brilliant idea for a repaint! And (according to the Botcon photos) he has a new head sculpt and a lifeboat instead of mini-Scorponok. Loved the Cybertron Evac character, nice to see an non-G1 homage for a change...

Incinerator: Awesome! One of my favourite movie-line toys yet. Love the Osprey, and that bot mode kicks ass!

Stockade: Best name ever. Vehicle mode looks great and the bot is cool. I like what I see so far!

Nightwatch Prime: Yawn... pass.

Desert Attack Brawl: Cool repaint, I like the blue parts (though I'm sure alot of people won't) - don't know why they repainted the Leader Brawl so soon, and I don't know if that was a great idea, the regular Leader Brawl may not sell too well. Still, nice redeco, if I was rich and had more display room I'd pick him up!

They all look godawful. I might have to pick up the G1 Optimus though, because the truck mode is just so damn fine.

Weapon: Double-Barreled Assault Missile Launcher
Cliffjumper I'm not suprised about and Evac looks pretty cool. I'll pass on the rest.

Amen!

More non-G1 Homages plz!

I'm also quite a fan of Evac, so I'm stoked to see this. The lifeboat is definitely a cool addition. I'll definitely be getting him!

Just wish we could get a more detailed shot of the head sculpt...

As for the others, I dig. Nightwatch Optimus Prime's colors are pretty cool, but the G1 recolored one? *yawn* Does everything have to have a G1 color scheme slapped on it at some point nowadays?

Pretty much... Though at least we haven't seen a lime-green Movie Bonecrusher yet.

TOTALLY with you on Evac, and I love the lifeboat! If HJasbro doesn't name it, I'm going to call it Lifeline. Hooray for post-G1!

Great the next gimmick has arrived. At least its a passive one and the blue doesnt look to bad on some of them. We need more gimmicks like this and less minicon/cyberkey ones.

I don't really like the blue on all of them. On some, it works, but others, like Cliffjumper, would look better if they just stuck to their alt mode colors. I do like that Evac, though. I just think that a better "gimmick" or whatever, would have been to have the allspark painted on their alt mode somewhere. But this works.

I think it's funny how people are split about the G1 repaint Prime. When the first images leaked on movie prine, people freaked about the color scheme. Now we see the repaint and people think it's too red. Maybe Bay was onto something-altough flames might not have been the best overall solution. Oh well, I'm still getting Nightwatch Prime and Desert Camo Brawl. I actualy really like Cliffjumper too.

camaro concept is cool with bumblebee because of the movie and the deluxe 08 figure is i think the best figure in the deluxe class and compared to other voyager figures but putting cliffjumper's character on a camaro08?c'mon hasbro!you've just painted camaro08 red and then it will be known as cliffjumper already? :-? :-x :-x :-x :-?

Hey, hold on, is that a shiny silver on Voyager Prime instead of a nasty flat grey? Woo-hoo!

I just hope that that figure isn't some lame-ass exclusive.

Hey, I like the Movie line's Automorph gimmick. It's been used pretty nicely, and lets some more complex transformations work when they'd normally be just a total pain in the ass. I'm not saying it should dominate future lines, but Hasbro shou;dn't be afraid to use it on new toys later on.

outside of the 3 figiures I don't have I'll be saying pass, These repaints seem pointless, and with all the special sets out and coming out, I can't see needing any of these. I already have like 10 movie Primes and 3 74 BBs.

I just can]t see wanting these. Also I know CliffJumper and BB were pretty much the same thing, but I refuse to count him unless they change the head. otherwise he's just a red BumbleBee.

Please keep in mind, I'm not calling you out, I'm just thinking in general about this statment.

For the past year I've just been reading about how much everyone hates the flames on Optimus, we want the origional colors.

Now that he's in a traditional color pattern, everyones gonna start saying that isn't right either :???:

Not that I try to anymore, but I just don't get this fandome anymore.

Again, I respect your opinion and your entitled to it, but again the general idea of it makes me wonder, "HUH"

I think there is a balance. I don't like the flames, they look stupid. I don't like this colour pattern either, it's too red.

People don't like either one, because these aren't the only two possible colour schemes. There are many more combinations that would have worked better.

I must say that I actually like the new animated toys. They do look just like their show counterparts, and that is a good thing. I really like Bumblebee and Prime. If we get all the Dinobots, I will be happy beyond belief. The Cons look nice too, especially Starscream.
