It's still the FoC mold and the FoC character, that's what they're getting at. Don't be nitpicky (sheesh, look who's talking...).

Doesn't matter, it's Thundercracker that uses the same mold as Starscream.

I'm liking this artwork. Kinda reminds me of how the G1 art didn't exactly match up with the actual toy, but still looked cool. Same deal here. :D

Yay Thundercracker! I wish we'd get a Skywarp too, but maybe I can spring for the Takara one. All the rest are buys except maybe Hoist, if he's just a simple repaint of Trailbreaker.

He'll most likely have a new head, new weapon, and a different back end for his vehicle mode.

Oh, God, please let this happen!

The character has been MIA for about 3 years, it would be interesting if he did get a Spotlight, but really there are a bunch of characters in the IDW-verse who are more deserving at the moment.

where is Springer right now anyway? On the Lost Light or Cybertron? I think he'd be good with either, but looking at things in RID lately, he's probably more needed there.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Last mention is that he's on the planet Debris in a coma. Don't think he'll be part of the Ongoings for quite a while.

We see, in order:

- Legends Optimus Prime with Roller
- Orion Pax
- Beast Hunters Optimus Prime (possibly the Voyager)

And keep the cars coming, Hasbro!

I thought that OP with Roller was going to be around scout size? Which I know isn't much bigger then Commander size now a days. I must have missed that legends size news.

It's neither Skids nor Rumble. It's Trailbreaker. The "blue" we're seeing is just a lighting effect. The red Deceptivon logo is more than likely a mistake in the drawing phase. And if the toy has a red visor, it's probably an homage to the original G1 toy.

And for those saying that they don't match up with their package art... I have yet to see one Transformer package that depicts an exact match-up (other than stock photography) of the figure it's advertising.

I hope you can move those Trailbreaker/Hoist weapons arounds to make it more G1.

Arm cannons for both, and wings (hoist) or Cannons)Trailbreaker on the shoulders.

It's still the FoC mold and the FoC character,
Nuh uh. The toy will most likely be IDW Thundercracker, who currently shares a body-type with his WFC/FOC counterpart. The FOC phase of the Generations line will be over after the Wrecker combiners come and go. The next phase of the Geenrations line is IDW toys.

But because they share a body-type, this toy can be repurposed into WFc/FOC Thundercracker. ;)

The inevitable Takara FOC Thundercracker for my ancient Cybertron shelf. The Hasbro version gets a new head and becomes Generations Triggerhappy. Nuff said.

And while this mold isnt the best representation of Hoist, at least it is better that ROTF Hoist. I hope it has a tow hook of some kind and no guns in alt mode.

I didn't want to buy Thundercracker, but now I kinda do, just to call him Frederico and have him be a character from the RID/Car Robots continuity just as an example that it doesn't really matter what you think is intended, or what is written on the packaging or press-releases, re: names or continuity.

With a name like that, it would be a missed opportunity to not repurpose him as an Optimus vs. Malignus continuity character. :P

Also, RiD and Car Robots aren't the same continuity. Car Robots never gave any indication of being a different continuity in Japan, with it's characters having come form the future.
