It's senseless to try to gauge interest and seek payment in FoC this month, especially with additions to the Batman, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, Halo, Saints Row, Skyrim, Lord of the Rings, and Mass Effect franchises that either have been released recently, or are going to be released in the near future. Regardless whether you have interest in these franchises, many gamers across the Earth are having a hit to the wallet from the amount of games being released in this year's Q4. I appreciate the game getting previewed and all, but asking for money to be put down now in this month? Just no.

While WoC's release date in the summer last year didn't exactly help it's sales, nor did the sheer lack of any advertising.. it's just moving to Q4 is a bit of a risk. There are more well established game franchises that always release in Q4, and.. I just don't see TF selling well. Of course one might ask, why does it matter if someone else buys it, aslong as you do? Less demand means less tech support. WoC was filled with garbage and glitches, and while I put weeks upon weeks into the game, I was blinded because I was TF fan. The normal gamer isn't going to take crap if Activision produces the same lack of care that WoC gave.

Your thinking about it from a negative pov. It doesn't HURT them at all. it could only help them. Theres no such thing as marketing too early when the end product has an already fairly defined release date. Earlier means more time spent spreading the news. There is really no downside other than overhead, and thats insignificant. Its not like the consumers are going to choose now, and then not be able to choose in five, eight, or twelve months from now. It just gives some who are more TF fans than... whatever, mass effect, assasins creed fans a chance to buy early, and then maybe save cash for the upcoming year that has an unknown income.

And btw, its NEVER senseless to gauge interest. Thats what marketing is all about, gauging, always, as much as possible.

Why the hell do you think you didn't get the DLC?

Very excited about the combiner. Wouldn't it be great to play online with 5 people and every player controls a limb. Okay most combiners won't even walk straight. But if you work together you could act like one player. Yess!

Combaticons/Bruticus, sweet! :D It'd be nice to control him, but I doubt that will happen. Most likely it's just going to be a boss fight. But I hope I'm wrong (which I usually am, haha).

It seems they're making the customization better. Maybe even going that far that you could choose from different arms/legs/etc, and make a character look like you want? I would be happy if that's the case. :D

i'm super excited about this. i still play wfc since its release so this is deffinately on my list to get. however, if the combaticons are playable, how will bruticus work? i know we've had many discussions about how combiners would work, but i want to know what would be hms take on this and will we see abot combiners like the rest of the aerialbots? air rade and silverbot are already in the series as well as brawl and onslaught but adding superion would be a goog match for bruticus. some of us also said triple changers would be awesome, but that would defeat the purpose of have the different classes unless certain classes fit your play style more than the triple changers would. i am curious to see how the story would go on when prime and megs was leaving cybertron at the end of wfc. i also would like to see a vehicle version of the dinobots more than the dinosaurs because in my opinion, it would make more sense like in the ds version. samething to the insecticons, if added. more customizations tomultiplayer!

Awesome stuff. Yes I think triple changers would be easily do-able. A couple of suggestions I sent to HMS involved them and the combiners. For the triple changers it is simply a case of making one of their ability buttons their triple change transform button.

From a balance point of view it means they will have less abilities to use but a bit more flexibility. The problem with them is how much life to give them. you could either make it a half way house, which could make a tank/plane too good in plane mode, or adjust their life bars depending on the mode.

Another alternative would be to have armour and life in a combination on a bar so the different modes have different armour but your bot has the same life. You could then see the effect of armour upgrades and such on your bot, maybe have armour as blue and life as red or green.

In regards to combiners, in the campaign it is fairly simple to make them work in single player. As in WFC instead of having Megs and S.wave as your tag along buddies you have your team. They act as NPCs until you hit your combine ability button... . Co-op makes it more difficult and I think it would be hard to make it work where both players are involved.

The customisation part sounds really promising as I think a lot of fans really wanted a chance to build their own bots and have a wealth of options and abilities. In my mail to them I also suggested different bodies, heads etc give access to different abilities and upgrades etc. for example you could pick a 'reconnaissance head/optics' that works like a sniper scope/targetting device or similar (think Hot Rod in the movie shooting at the decepticons on the shuttle, or have an ability to see invisible characters. The idea of a sniping style soldier using his tank cannon like a Barret is a pretty cool image. He would obviously have less 'up-close' abilities.

All kinds of things could be done, and I have to say I can't wait for this game.

Y'know if Rail Racer was in this game, he'd be easier to control, since he's just three dudes, Midnight Express controls the movement, Rapid Run handles the jumping and the dodging, and Rail Spike does the shooting, it wouldn't be perfect, but it'd be easier than every player controlling one limb, if that's what High Moon's planning on doing.

If it's a five-components combiner, one way to do it would be to have two guys on weapons (turret-like weapons on shoulders and so on), another two would control each arms (It'd be awesome if you could grab a jet from the air 8-}) and the last one would control the movement. Or something like that. :)

I hope it'll have an Autobot combiner too, not just Decepticon. They had Defensor in Exodus, so it would make sense to have him in the game.

Aargh, this waiting is killing me. It's going to be a slow year... #-o

Uh, good reviews, good sales, a healthy online community(every time I break out WFC, still a huge amount of people online). So yeah, a sequel is warranted. Just because you didn't care about WFC, doesn't mean the game wasn't successful. The video game world doesn't begin and end with you.

As for FOC, December 2012? I can't wait! =P~

This.

If I'm not mistaken, the game sold a half million units...which I believe is a respectable amount for a video game. I know they sold a couple hundred thousand in the first couple days...

As for the image of the yellow bot, gotta be Swindle, seeing as they confirmed Bruticus is in the game. And as far as Bruticus being playable, I doubt it. I bet he'll be a boss in the campaign, and that'll pretty much be it. If he shows up in multiplayer, I see him being a special ability or some kind of summon.

What I could see working is that if Bruticus is in multiplayer, yeah, someone can be controlling a limb or a certain aspect of the combiner. But there would be some people who would be stubbern and not link up because they're on a streak or something. Or combining would be where the whole team has a certain number of killstreaks indiviually. I say this would work better if you were a combiner and it wouldn't matter if the others on your team were or not, but if you get like a 20ish killstreak, you can summon the other combiners from out of nowhere and the whole match ends with the score at endgame and it shows bruticus or whoever else just rampaging in the backround. Like the nuke in Call of Duty MW2

Anyone else wondering if the single player campaign will end with them heading to Earth? I definitely wouldn't mind seeing the 3rd game with everyone in their G1 modes.

I'm excited about this new game, but I NEED a PC version. My graphics card eats xbox & PS3s for breakfast ( I just got the power bill to prove it!) Seriously if other games can come out on PC and make a profit surely transformers can too. Look what the movies have done, there are a few fans out there and a good many would be on PC.

Yeah, I doubt FoC will end with them going to Earth. That's too soon a time for them to go to Earth, when there's still many millenia to tell before they get to Earth. ;)
