Still I don't like losing all my skills.

You DO lose your skills? Sucks to that, slightly faster leveling and some fancy Matrix icon is not worth having to lose every skill I've been dependent on.

Actually after looking into it a bit, I think your level just goes down to zero again. I have no real idea if it effects your skills. I hope it doesn't. Has anyone gotten it yet? I may try for Prime Mode over this weekend.

Well the video says "level 0 = no perks." He was also using only the basic set-up. But then I haven't hit Prime Mode yet, so I don't know.

Does this sound like a Prime Mode weapon, or is it a hack? He was definitely not a Prime, he didn't have the symbol. I play on the PC servers so I don't think it would be too hard for computer geeks to hack into the game and change stuff.

Also, I would like to know what is going on when I get killed with one shot while unloading everything I have and getting nothing. This has been asked a couple of times but no answer.

For your first question, that guy is getting the weapon from his +7 Killstreak.

The latter question, pretty much people with higher rank will have better skills and abilities. Also headshots from a Sniper are one shot kills.

WOW! Thats a really nice gun. I honest to God thought he was a hack!

OK, I can see the head shots being a one shot kill. I've done that a couple times myself but not realizing the impact it was having.

Hello, I have a couple of questions regarding region-locking, PSN, Save Data and DLC

But first, a back-story: I currently own an NTSC game but I log into the PSN on a European account. I downloaded Expansion Pack 1 from the European market not realizing that DLC was region-locked, and so wouldn't be compatible with my American game. I only see 2 options ahead of me, but each raises a question:

1- I can create an American PSN account and download the Expansion Pack again, this time from the American store. That way it would work for my NTSC game, but will I be able to use the DLC with my European account on that same game, or is it restricted to the user who actually bought it? (The American account)

2- I can exchange my NTSC game for a PAL game, losing my Campaign progress in the process. The DLC would work for both my new PAL game and my European account, but what of my Multiplayer progress? Obviously, my progress is tied with my European account, but is it also tied with my NTSC Save Data? If I log-in from a PAL game (which cannot access the NTSC Save Data) will my Multiplayer progress be lost? (levels, weapons, abilities, etc.) or is it retrieved from the PSN?

As you can see, I'm concerned for my Multiplayer progress. If I'm gonna lose it both ways, I'll go ahead and choose option 1 because I could at least keep my Campaign progress. But if I can access my Multiplayer progress from my PAL game then I'll go for option 2.

Thanks in advance :)

yeah I figured that. I think Im getting better though as I play. It was so rough at first. But now Im a Level 12 seeker and am averaging about 800-1000 points a match. Not bad, huh? One time I got 1800 points. I got all these health Matrix and 2.0 stuff
(I have no idea how and what those are). You start getting the hang of it around level 9.

However does anyone know how long you have to wait before you can use your R2 ability? Again, Sometimes I need it and I cant use it cuz I just used it and I guess and I have to wait for time to pass?.....but how long? Seems too long.

what do you mean by R2 ability???? depending on what abilities are set it differs...r you on 360 versoin?

"R2 ability" would refer to the PS3 version. I figure R2 would equate to the right bumper on the 360, but I don't have a 360.

And to answer you question NiteStar, it depends on what ability is mapped to R2. Warcry takes longer to recharge than, say, Whirlwind, and Cloak is faster than both. Unless you mean in campaign, in which case you need to collect those weird little particle things enemies drop when they die.

Since everyone seems to be on Conquest lately, I figured I'd ask. What setups do you guys use for each class on Conquest? My Scout that works well is Scatter Blaster, Null Ray, Mark Target, Cloak, Surprise Attack, Ghost and Weapon Stabilizer. I could use a good layout for the other classes. Currently I use my Team Death match ones which work alright.

This is a problem I've been having, though it might be my lack of experience with online multi-player gaming or my controller's joysticks not moving as well as they used to: do you guys have any tips for lining a shot up?

For lining up shots (unless you're sniping or something) it's tough to get both joysticks going in different directions. I think what a lot of people do is to get the right joystick to a fairly neutral location (say around mid chest high on a bot) and then use the left joystick to move around. As you run and strafe you can line up shots with the added benefit of being a moving target. I find that if I'm running madly AND throwing the right joystick around madly as well trying to track a fast moving target I'll miss quite often - and that's a bad thing if you're using a low ammo weapon like the EMP shotgun.

That and "leading" the enemy. IF someone is running around like crazy you need to get your crosshairs ahead of them and let them run into your field of fire. As long as you're quick on the trigger it's a solid way to land shots. It's always better to lead than it is to follow - with your crosshairs that is! :)

take my advise with a grain of salt though...I'm no great shakes.

Does anyone know if a USB mouse is an option for control on this game? I might want to give it a shot if that's the case....

a usb mouse would sort of give you an advantage over others so i dont think so lol and as for leading i find that while sniping there is no need to lead for some reason when i shoot someone running i hve my crossairs rite on their body and i get thm..but i notice when i shoot i can see my bullet(if its a miss) and it seems i would need to lead...but i don't. as for the whole targeting issue i find that depending on the weapon you need very differnt tactis for example the leader photon cannon (i think thats the name) instead of shootin at the person shoot at their feet the blast radius of when it hits still give good damage, for shotty aim at their head becus of the blast radius it will most likely get a headshot.

Some dude just started a topic on this. I replied to it with one of my Scientist setups there. I have 3 different setups on all three slots for each class. Some are similar and others are radically different. I run some experimental setups from time to time too.

For my Scientist I have 3 versions. 1 for full offense, 1 for balanced attack ( medic and offense ) and 1 for pure medic.

I've been mostly playing my 2 offensive Scientist, Thor and Jetfire I call them.

Jetfire - EMP shotgun and Photon Burst Rifle w Drain, Rocket Sentry. I change up my abilities at times but mostly Jeftire has Leech and just upgraded his Rocket Sentry to the better power version-Level 24 upgrade ( forgot the name ). And then Santuary for health grenade or I do the 2 health grenade ability.

Usually I fly in and pop my rocket sentry up high near a node and in a place not obvious. Then fly into battle enemies near node with Drain on and pop health grenade to last longer. Use combo of EMP shotgun and melee and hopefully I got 1-2 kills. Many times chaos helps conceal the location of your rocket sentry and it will finish the job if you can't ( in middle of reload or miss on melee )

What does scout class do when reach 7 kills?

I know scientist is the big cannon and when I reach 7 kills in scout class last night, I heard they said something but was too busy to pay attention. Just noticed there was a counter showed up.

What about other classes, such as leader and soldier? Thanks.

Scout's 7-kill streak bonus is Orbital Beacon 2.0. It's the equivalent of hitting every enemy on the map with an EMP grenade, Mark, and Orbital Beacon.

Leader's 7-kill streak bonus is Thermo Mine Respawner. it makes you drop thermo mines where ever you walk for a set amount of time.

Soldier's 7-kill streak bonus is Omega Missile. You launch a remote control missile with absurd splash damage. You WILL kill yourself the first time you use it.

But getting kills with scrapmaker won't do anything for the weapon challenges for the scoutclass.....

I like the Scout Class so much because I'm a Sniper. In Conquest, I usually enjoy having Mark Target and Cloak, with Mark Target you can usually take down an opponent with one sniper shot or one melee attack.
