JetFire? Please. Sure Jetfire is scientist and all but that doesn't mean hes automatically suited for prime. You see, jet fire is great and all, but he just isn't ready for a big role like that. Jazz, rachet, now there ready for prime because they have a lot of experience in the battlefield. Jazz is second in command so naturally when something happens he takes command. Jetfire is a scientist. lets keep it that way.

Almost all the Autobots already like him. He can keep a cool head in any situation, plus he's good with change and improvisation. He's got the brains to do it too, and wants to protect all life. And being apart of the Special Ops, he's got the skill to take on almost anyone. He's cool, he's tough. He's Jazz. I believe he's the best choice for becoming the next Autobot leader.

i agree with you. ironhide, warpath, and all soilders arent just right for the job. jazz may not be strong, but usually hes prime's right hand man and a great/lead strategist for the autobots. jazz would be a GREAT leader.

Optimus Prime -- Personal Log

The death of Zeta Prime has taken its toll among the Autobots. Many fear that without his leadership this war will be the end of us all. I too am among those who feel this way, but since I am Prime, I can not afford the price of these thoughts. His death is also a constant reminder that I too maybe destroyed; and if this comes to pass, who would I choose to replace me? There are many brave Autobots under my commander who could perhaps fill the role, one day, but are now still too raw. Silverbolt has the determination, but lacks the confidence. AirRaid is still too young. Ironhide and Warpath are better suited for collateral damage, then command decisions. Bumblebee has the courage and strength, but I fear the darkness of these acts could cause him too loose that makes him strong. Ratchet's kindness and triage techniques makes him valuable for healing the wounded, but this could cloud his judgment in an astrosecond decision. Arcee, Sideswipe and Scattorshot are brave warriors, but all lack the training and dedication that is needed for a Prime. This leaves Jazz and Jetfire. Both would make fine Primes, they have all the strength and abilities to be able to defeat Megatron, as well as the strength of character to hold the Autobots together during this darkest hour. Alas there can only be ONE Prime. As dear a friend that Jazz is, he has the tendency to be reckless, and Jetfire's dealings with Starscream and this 'Dark Energon' could prove valuable to our cause.
Let it be know too all, If I were to fall in battle, that Jetfire be my recommendation for the next Prime, followed secondly only by Jazz.

The best succesor for optimus prime would be ironhide. Ironhide has been in the autobot army for some time and has alot of experience. Ironhide also has incredidle strength required for an autobot leader. Along with his strength and expreince ironhide also knows how to lead and formulate battle plans. This shows ironhide would be the best succesor for optimus prime.

at first the bot who came to mind was bumblebee but then i got to thinking, he is to small, and he still needs to mature. so then i was stuck between ironhide and ratchet, then it came to me, how about co leaders, ironhide for the brawn and ratchet for the brains. so thats my decision. ratchet is one of the most loyal autobots and if one of his fellow autobots were to get injured ratchet would have to stay back unable to see enemies, thats were ironhide comes in and defends his partner.

Simply put, Ironhide would be the best successor of Optimus Prime for leader of the Autobots. For one, Ironhide is a trusted friend and commrade of Optimus for a reason. In addition, Ironhide, without question, possesses the brawn, confidence, honesty, and dedication of a true leader. While some may label him as a "gunslinger" of sorts, I would argue that the responsibilities inherited by him as a Prime, would bestow upon him the maturity and sensibility necessary to carry out the role honorably. I can even imagine that with every decision or task that Irohide performed, "is this what Optimus would do?" would always be in the back of his mind giving him a sense on conscience as well.

Optimus you fool. yet again you think that "courage" and "hope" will help the autobots win the war. How foolish. A true leader must be strong, and powerful and determined to do WHATEVER IT TAKES TO WIN. This hope and compassion will only cause your doom. Oh, and one more thing, Zeta prime is still alive...

Warpath takes the shot! Even with the loss of the great optimus prime the autobots would not be without hope. Their are great and talented autobots waiting to step up and take command, but none more eager than Warpath. warpath is a brave, determined Warrior whos not affraid to show the decepticons some attitude! He is always looking for a fight and his strengh and guns will be more than that needed in such a loss. HE may be one of the youngest autobots and not have the brightest spark of the lot, but the autobots need change after the loss of Zeta and Optimus Prime, and with a fighter this talented Warpath might actually survive one of Megatrons one on ones. This mean fighting machine really DOES have "The Touch". (P.S my previous post was not an entry)

Optimus falls. Who should be the next Prime. Bumblebee has spirit and courage but the Prime has to have experience and the raw power and talent to lead. Besides Bumble Prime just doesn’t sound good. Ironhide is a warrior and could make a good leader, although most likely a reluctant one. The same could be said for Jazz, Silverbolt and myself. None of us feel we could replace Optimus. But Optimus was also reluctant while Zeta on the other hand was always ambitious. Even changing his name from Sentinel Prime to Zeta Prime indicating that he would be the last Prime. His complacency in overseeing the cast system was his undoing and this has eventually leaded to the Transformers Exodus of Cybertron. Maybe being reluctant to lead is an attribute of a great Prime. Above all, in these trying times we need a Prime that understands the problem. “Dark Energon” and its effects on Cybertron. If we are going to rebuild Cybertron it will take not just courage, power, or leadership. It will take science. Among the mysteries of science lies the key to victory and Cybertron’s revival. Hmmmm Jet Prime, Prime Fire, Fire Maximus Prime. It matters not what they call me. On the inside I’m still JetFire and as the former guardian of Cybertronion space I’m sure I can lead my Autobots to another planet aboard the Ark, better than any energon seeker could, where we can prepare for Cybertron’s restoration and return the spark housed in this matrix to Cybertron’s core. Above all it’s what Optimus would want. This blue planet in this sector of the Milkyway Galaxy looks promising.
