It's already down to $74.99 from $99.99.

Oh, was that what it was originally? I think it's been at that price for a while. I'd still expect it to come down another $10 or $15 based on RK's price.

$60 is likely an Asian retailer price, I doubt North American retailers will get much lower than $74.99 because the extra shipping costs are accounted for. Just like the conversion for current Takara Generations Deluxes going for about $21 - 24 from an Asian retailer, but NA retailers sell them for about $35 - 37.

You can always buy from RK if the shipping rate would be better for you than ordering from NA.

Also, to answer your question - I believe the offered price was $94.99 ($5 discount of the suggested $99.99), but since I didn't preorder it I don't have any paper trail to follow. For me to open up to this line, the price needs to beat the pre-order prices of the MMC versions.

It's a shame that this is competing with MMC. Hopefully, we will have a good scenario where there is a split between people buying this and MMC, as was the case with Hercules and Giant. These guys definately deserve success of the back of this work, but unfortunately they have lost me to MMC.

that looks pretty nice. very gewunny and a good fit next to Hot Rod there. Won't be getting it, but like Banjo, I'd like to see these guys continue, as this project suggests potential for this company.

These guys just chose the wrong combiner. I think they could make a decent Defensor. Or even Trailbreaker or Hoist. All of tghose guys are on my list and I think reletively simple designs would be a strength for these guys.

Theyre not bad, it's just MMC is better. They might sell better later on if they repaint them in a G2 or SG theme. A blue, purple and white repaint would make me consider owning 2 Predakings. I would put it on my G2 shelf but Im sure the SG fans would go crazy...

3 years ago and with no direct competitor, people would have been all over this, despite the bizzarre shoulder arrangement.

It looks awesome. But I'm locked in with MMC.

With no competition they coulda really cleaned up.

I do hope they get some support, and sell a decent number of these. But like everybody here (I don't think I've seen one confirmed purchase of War Lord) I'm going the MMC route.

If they can quickly do it, Defensor or Computron might be better options right now. Heck, even a decent Pirranahking (sp?) might be an option too.

I wish I could afford either of these combiner teams, but it will have to remain just a dream. If MMC could match FP's size & pricing I'd have to strongly consider getting Predaking instead of Menasor, but as it is I cannot. I've already got one massively expensive G3 combiner in my collection, and my shelves are filling up.

The lionhead and shoulderbone cannons really hurt this figure. If only they could have cleaned this up a little bit I feel the Beasticons might have generated more interest. Well, that and the direct competition with an already decently established 3rd doesn't help.

I like the way Predaking looks. Like everone else, Im going with MMC. But if Unique toys can do a giftset in repainted colors, I would buy it. Something dark with Blue, Purple, and some black and white. Like a G2 Predaking. ;)

Edit: I didnt notice those out of place shoulder cannons. I guess that could be considered "neo". ;)

Looks like Razorclaw's been beefed up since the last time we saw the full monty. Or my memory's playing tricks on me. Either way, this is looking decent. The legs seem more proportionate compared to MMC, but the arms seem too small. The shiny claw hands are a good touch. I'm still sticking with MMC, but I do like what I'm seeing with this guy.

I find it odd that so many have decided to go with MMC over this one. Looking back at the history of the two 3rd party Devastators (Hercules and Giant), everyone who wanted Giant over Hercules (which seemed like most) claimed it was because it was more 'G1 accurate', yet now here we have 2 Predakings, one of which is a massive departure from G1 (MMC) and one which looks much closer to G1 (War Lord), yet everyone is going for MMC.

I just don't understand what's changed. Maybe it has to do with the less significant price difference between the 2 Predakings vs the price difference between the 2 Devastators or maybe it has to do with the fact that MMC is a more well known company and at the time, many claimed (incorrectly) that Giant was made by someone affiliated with FansProject.

Maybe I'm stirring the pot here, but I can't help but wonder about the reasoning in all of this. Fans seem very fickle to be certain.

I'm sticking with the reasoning behind getting Herc for getting MMC. It is not about price. I want the one I like better, which in this case is MMC. I like it because it's so different from G1, not because it looks more similar to it (because as I said, it doesn't, the War Lord version is much more 'G1').

Personally I like Hercules over Giant, as far as looks go. I own neither, but if I were to get one, it'd be Herc. As a 90s kid, I don't care much for slavish G1 accuracy, I care about what looks coolest. Herc and Feral Rex win in that regard.

In individual bot modes the Herc bots are actually more G1 accurate. (G1 cartoon accurate that is) It always gets so confusing around here when someone says "more G1" do they mean G1 cartoon accuracy or G1 toy accuracy ? I always speak cartoon accuracy when I say G1. Thats why I chose Hercules (with CrazyDevy add ons of course) The only reason Im getting Giant is because he is G2 yellow.

My head was in bits when herc and giant came out all the endless banter about who's best for g1 looks ,size ,price and whatever to the point i got neither a year or so later with a fresh look i just got my first part of herc i just love the size and over all look and same with predaking i thought feck the bullshit this time and for the same reasons as herc i chose mmc feral rex

I do like G1 accuracy, but depending on the character that can be G1 toon, toy or comic interpretations. Some characters benefit from not being so slavish to the original designs. With the Devys, I still find that Giant looks more accurate to me, in my idea of what the Constructicons and Devastator looked like, plus it's half the price and I really like the vehicle modes. I agree that Hercules looked much more cartoony, but that wasn't a big selling point for me. Loads of options, especially with the add-ons make it much more appealing, but not for the prices involved.

With these Predacons the MMC ones aren't much more expensive, and look like much more fun toys than the other ones...I can't even remember the name of the guys making them. Also, really love the sword for War Lordwhatever MMCs is called. Would still like some more pics of both sets, in colour, and a better idea of when they'll all be out, but...it's 3rd parties.
