Warhammer conversions.

Another conversion for my army. Noise marines are the heavy weapons guys, but the problem is the sonic blasters, the basest of these special weapons.. you can have more than one... but they only give you one per box... which sucks ass.

So this is my first attempt at a sonic blaster. I took a heavy bolter, snipped off most of the barrel and the exposed clip. The gargoyle head looks like a more menacing barrel and it fits with the idea of them using amplified screams as ammo. Attached the wire as a tube, a bayonet, and a hook as a sight.

and yeah, this guy's one-handing that huge gun because he's awesome. XD

Have any friends that bought the new Necrons? Ask if they have extra Tesla Carbines. They look perfect for Sonic weapons.

those do look like good sonic blasters, sadly, most of the guys I play with use various space marines (blood angels, space wolves) orks, and dark eldar. the 1 necron player at our local store... I've never seen him use them those he's gotten the new HQs.

My first time painting red, and freehanding a warband symbol. Painted in the colors of the Tainted Coil from Brutal Legend. Their skin tone of weird, but I got it close.

One of the better Sonic Blaster conversions I've seen. Due to the nature of the EC's Sonic weapons, unique conversions really fit the fluff.

However, I'm a sucker for the molds from GW so I bought two additional sets of Sonic Blasters and Blast Masters...

That's some legit work right there. I can't imagine how few TFs I'd have if I still was into WH and 40K. The Tau kits were so addicting.

And how intense is the Nekron rework? New book I'm guessing.. and new everything else too?

Do like I am, start Playing Infinity instead.

At most 10 infantry on the board, makes for a very affordable hobby. Also, every time one enemy model moves through you own guys line of sight, they get to make an action! No more standing around and waiting for your opponent to hurry up and finish his turn.

That's actually really cool, something more fast-paced is rather appealing.

I've never been much of a photographer and the only camera I have is my 3DS so these won't be that great.Image
Abbadon the Despoiler, this is one of my earlier conversions. I made the claws longer with kneadatite and used little bits of wire mesh to make the muzzle flash.
Image
I made some fleshy extensions for the claws on this Chaos Obliterator with some kneadatite.
Image
The blades of this axe came from some Warhammer zombies. I used kneadatite to attach them to the handle of the axe and the blood vessels that attach it to his chest are made from those annoying wires they used to tie down Transformers in package.
Image
For this energy blast I stuck a wire into the head and used some tassels from Dark Eldar for the blast and the ball on the end is kneadatite.

For my Vampire Counts I took a lot of inspiration from the Castlevania series. This zombie is based on the Scarecrow enemies. I used florist wire for the intestines.
Image
This zombie I based on the zombies from the first game. I heated the arms over a candle till they were soft then I bent them around and I sculpted the cloak out of kneadatite.
Image
Taking another cue from Castlevania I arranged this bat swarm into the shape of a large bat. I just cut off the little stands they were attached to and used florist wire to attach them to the base.
Image
I gouged out a bunch of holes in the zombie dragon's wings so they would look tattered and rotting. They were the standard dragon wings which clashed with the rest of the figure.
Image
I made the pestilential breath out of kneadatite
Image
These ghosts I made myself. the heads are little balls of kneadatite and their cloaks I made out of tissue that I soaked in a mixture of glue and water. I draped the wet tissue into shape and when it dried it was nice and rigid.

love the ghsots man! also, the paintjobs are fantastic. :3

I'll keep the construction of the ghosts in mind if I want to make cloaks for cultists if they ever come back for 40k
