Ouch. :( I guess they'll go sit and watch the playoffs with the Saints.

Yeah, they suck horribly this year and deserve to sit home (your attempt at a jab was unsuccessful.. Thanks for the effort though)..

Wasn't a jab, just stating a fact.

Well, I ran out of chicken sandwiches. Time to start with the cannibalism. It's cool, though, it's for survival.

Ham, actually. Don't ask how I know that.

The internet told me. I didn't ask how the internet knew.

Shouldn't all of this be in the thread where we though if 2012 was the end of the world or not? Anyway. This is the worst apocalypse ever. I don't even get to kill anything. But I'm going to make my kids watch the movie and tell them I survived that s***.

Over the last two day, I survived the restart of the Mayan Calendar and winter storm Draco.

I wonder if National Weather Service gone too far into the Apocalypse thing, naming a winter storm Draco, Latin for dragon.

I know of the constellation, but the Weather Channel actually is claiming they were naming it after the Greek lawgiver.

Yes, a winter storm could be named Gandolf, Q, or Orko!

Orko as in the Orko from he-man?

The Weather Channel is claiming Orko, as in the Basque thunder god, but really how many people would even think that there was even a Basque thunder god named Orko? We all will be thinking of He-Man if Orko hits!

You're right I certainly didn't know there was a Basque thunder god.

That Weather Channel list has so many unintentional jokes in it. Really, Q for a NYC subway line, not say a James Bond invention or a demigod-like being in Star Trek, in a list of historical people and mythological/literary characters? OK?

You know what I'm dying to see? Testimonials of people who really did buy into this whole thing. Like, people who really thought yesterday was the end of days. Basically, I want to see a humble pie eating contest.

I want to hear about the people who blew their life savings because they seriously thought we'd all die. They've gotta be feeling like idiots about now.

Here's one such case:

http://www.sodahead.com/living/would-you-blow-your-life-savings-to-escape-the-alleged-apocalypse-on-december-212012/question-3354819/

Spent his life savings (equalling $160,000) building a boat that was barely sea-worthy.

A guy I know texted one of our mutual friends and said "Hey, I heard Australia just collapsed into the ocean when they hit the 21st." He went to an appointment and when he checked his phone afterward there were five frantic messages to the tone of "OH MY GOD SERIOUSLY?"
I'm actually more surprised he didn't blow everything considering how gullible he is.

But really, if the Mayans could "predict the future" they would have been able to see the threats to their society, work around it, and live happily ever after. But there are no Mayans now, are there?
