I strongly recommend the Blood Angel Omnibus as an introduction to the books. The author paints a wonderful picture. Most of the space marine books are very well written.

Haven't read anything but the Space Marine stories, so you're on you're own if you want to get into the Imperial Guard or Inquisition.

On a related note I've moved into reading the Blood Ravens Omnibus. So far I'm not as interested in it than I was the others, perhaps it's because it has to follow the game? Dunno yet.

You should really give the Horus Heresy series a shot! It's set in M31, so, you already know what happens lol. But It's great to see it spanning 20+ books! I can't recommend them enough to fans of the 40K universe and Space Marines.

I'll be starting Fallen Angels tonight!

Its on my list of books to get, once I've caught up with "modern-day" space marines.

Nah, I've never been too keen on the Imperial Guard and Inquisition. Space Marines, on the other hand...

Let's hope I can track down some of those books.

Thanks for that, Mkall!

I am about to start re-reading a book called Mayday, which was a book I read about 10 years ago and remember it being quite suspenseful. Hopefully my memory doesn't fail me.

Just started The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly. It's the follow-up to The Lincoln Lawyer, another awesome book I just finished, just in time for the movie.

I recently read Tuesdays with Morrie. Very easy read, it seriously took me 5 hours to finish.

What a powerful book.

I just tried reading The Great Gatsby, but I'm sorry. I just couldn't get into it. I figured I'd try a classic, but no such luck. Next stop I'm going to try 1984, Lord of the Flies, or Animal Farm. I remember enjoying the latter two in high school, not so much the first, but I want to read each of these.

Recently I read House of Thunder by Koontz. Not bad, but I'm not sure what I think of the ending. I either really loved it or thought it was really far fetched.

I plan on seeing the movie some time but the book is definitely an emotional read. I highly recommend it though.
