Some G1 fans hated it. Movie fans hated it. Bayformer fans utterly loved it. But push all that to a side... Not looking for what you hated about the film. I think we've covered that in great depth and to an extreme extent already.

Were their parts, plot devices, or things about the movie that you liked? IF so, why?

Obviously, i liked the VFX, the art style, and the animation of the bots themselves. I also liked how the sounds for them fit them. I think out of all three movies, these things are going to be what i cherish and remember about them.

- probably the best effects I've ever seen, (except for JFK at the beginning - what were they thinking???)

- much easier to follow the action during fight scenes

- better script than ROTF (although I found the novelization to be much better than the actual movie)

- better cast (never hurts to have people such as Malkovich and McDormand in your movie)

- no twins or especially Leo (possible the worst character in any movie ever made)

- no boring parts at all

The explosions, the intensity of the scenes, they killed off a bunch of main characters, and how dark it felt when the invasion happened, the score, I actually liked Sam's job scene the second time I saw DOTM, the highway scene, the assassination scene, Sideswipe, Lazerbeak, Sentinel's betrayal, Optimus's brutality, and Megatron's sympathy.

Mostly. Except for that intro scene with Sam and Carly and Sam's parents.

I also loved the intro scene! One of the best intros EVER!

serious tone to some parts of movie

-Soundwave was featured more prominently.
-Classic characters like Laserbeak and Shockwave appeared.
-Barricade returned
-Fight scenes were a bit easier to follow than in the previous two films (though, to be honest, I didn't really have a problem with the action scenes in the other movies)
-The music was great
-The special effects were incredible
-Leonard Nimoy returned to voice Sentinel Prime
-The story made sense within the movie, though not very well within the context of the other two movies, which is more than I can say for ROTF.

where was this, i missed it

He can be seen as part of the Decepticon crew which is executing the Autobots. He dies soon thereafter though.
