What do you think of Fable 2?

Fable 2 is one of the reasons why I bought a 360. I loved the original and even bought the slightly updated Lost Chapters version. And one of the hand full of 360 I'm really looking forward to.(Others being Half-Life 2: Orange Box, GTA 4, and ofcourse Halo 3)

That said, I am concerned about the final product. They said the 1st Fable would be the RPG to end all RPGs, and they fell short of that goal. How do we know they won't do that again? I mean the dog thing looks interesting, but I certainly hope that the HUD is replaced by a dog, like in the demo. And the new combat system seems like the greatest thing since the combo, but I've seen games with similar systems where half the time you'll be fumbling around. How many times will you kick a table when you ment to throw a chair, stuff like that? And that whole thing was scripted and nowhere near completion, so who knows if it's going to actually make it in the final game.

Ofcourse if all that stuff and more makes it in, this will be one of the greatest games ever!

Well so far it seems awesome. The entire thing with the dog is brilliant.

As for if Fable 2 will actually do all that they say it will do. We won't know until it comes out.

However, the game will be friggin' awesome just like the first one.

The dog is a nice touch but it's also retarded, now people can be real dicks by not caring for the dog and that is wrong i feel peta may sue because it warrants animal abuse. Now personally i would take care of the dog but I could never ever bear with the fact that some people would just totally neglect it just so their character profile could be evil, I mean seriously running away if the dog was injured what does that say about a person. It totally reflects personality and warrants that people are animal abusers. I dont care if it is just a computer program when you try to bring in responsibility to a game that promotes moral decisions it's never a good idea.

I have had several pets over the years. I've loved and took care of each and every one of them. However, when Fable 2 comes out, I will go through the game once and neglect the dog. Does this make me an animal abuser, because I choose the play a game a certain way to get a full experience?

No.

I wouldn't be surprised if Peta tries to sue. But it will be dismissed. As Blue Box doesn't say "hey, go out and beat your dog" or "abandoning your dog is cool." It just gives you that option. Doesn't mean you have to take the option.

The whole thing with the dog, it's a plot point. It's meant to get feelings from you. Thats the dogs purpose aside from acting as your hud and mini-map rolled into one.
