We all know that Encore has made some very nice little changes in their releases that we've all been pleased with.
It has been claimed that most of the dino molds have been broken. What if Encore did the same with the dinobots, basically keeping them as identical as the originals, but with a few little changes. I think it would really be bad@ss if they took what they have and made new molds but basically stay the same, just a few minor changes here and there, and with the new changes, the Dinobots would be able to combine into Dinoking!!!
Awesome Boxset huh?

I could possibly see them being reissued if they fixed the molds. However, the Tyrannoking idea is a no-go. The G1 Dinobots will never combine if Hasbro or Takara were behind it. Only major Kitbashers will do that. It's an idea I've always wanted to see, but it just won't happen.

Well, I could see it happening if something convinced Hasbro to do a Dinosaur combining team...but you simply can't remold the G1 Dinobots to combine in any convincing manner. Not only are their molds destroyed, but they would need a far more complex design to make a believable combiner (you've probably noticed that all the G1 Combiners have somewhat simpler transformations than average to offset this fact) The simple fact is you'd need a new mold to pull it off, and that Hastek isn't willing to invest that sort of capital, particularly not into a mode which is a complete fan wank. They weren't even willing to invest that much effort into the Combaticons in Classics.

The Dinobots should never, ever, ever combine. Ever.
Just because they are a group of five doesn't mean that they need to form a larger robot. The Dinobots are some of the most individualistic characters in the TF universe. They are awesome because they don't have to follow the 'sum of the parts...' troupe that all Japanese robot stories seem to follow.
I'm very 'Anti-Dinobot Combiner'. I'd start a political party around this if I could.

Geez, you have Grimlock as just the LEFT ARM on that dino-king? I'm just as against them ever making dinobot combiners but if they ever do Grimlock is going to be the torso...

Maybe if they used the lesser known Dinobots: Slash, Slip, Switch, Snoopy and their leader, Grumpy...

Ditto, the Dinos should never combine. To be honest, outside of Devestator, I could care less about combiners. I like what TFU has done so far with Silerbolt and Onslaught in removing the combination gimmick and just making awesome new figures.

Naw, they just don't want to see gay unions. Even when they only involve two individuals.
I'm pretty liberal as far as that issue goes.

No, no way!
I like my Dinobotsd the way they are, but I do want a little PVC of "The Beast", just cos it's like one of the most horrible things ever.

One change I'd like to see if the Dinobots got reissued would be to give Swoop a cartoon accurate blue chest like the WSD version.

The dinobots are my very favourites, and combiners are on the second place, but I was horrified when I saw some of those customs...

Maybe I'm a little naive but would it be hard to reproduce the molds if they had an original transformers like the dinobots to use?

I'm not sure how easy it is but reverse engineering vintage toys to make new molds is possible.
Seeing how popular the Dinobots are Takara would surely recoup whatever it cost for the new molds off the G1 reissues alone but there's always the possibility of doing Diaclone or G2 versions as well.

Molds can be very expensive even with reverse engineering.
