I believe Josh Duhamel would be a better star in the TF live action films if he was the main star NOT Shia LeBouf. Shia is a big douche.

Haha. It's because when it all hits the fan in the movie, only one of these actors don't overact.

Shia/Sam was fine for the first two movies. It was about a kid and his car which could have represented any kid in that situation for the first movie. For the second movie it was mostly about his relationship with Mikeala which further bonded after the battle in Egypt along with the Decepticons need to acquire him for the harvester.

That should have been the end for Shia/Sam as it was the end for Megan/Mikeala AND AND it would have been a great ending for us to believe they stuck together instead of splitting up by the third movie due to unprofessional drama on both sides.

Sam's character along with his parents and the new chick Rosie/Carly served very little purpose at all in the 3rd film. By now the Decepticons shouldn't have given a **** one way or another about Sam Witwicky and his surrounding life. They should only care about destroying the planet/autobots and enslaving humans to rebuild cybertron.

The first half of DOTM really demonstrated how unneeded and/or awkward it was for Shia/Sam to return again.

The good news is I think he's done with the franchise unless Spielberg forces him back into it if Bay ends up leaning that way.

It still so very early in the process. It could go any number of ways.

I agree Sam was pretty pointless in DOTM. If not for him, The Fallen would have destroyed the solar system in ROTF. Then in DOTM, his role was reduced to absolute dust. Carly was the only human who did anything. She talked Megatron into saving Prime's ass...then getting his ass kicked. Whenever I watch DOTM, I always skip his scenes and skip straight to the Autobots and Decepticons. There is no difference.

Yep for me it was appropriate I suppose for Sam to end with the last entry of the original trilogy but the true end for him should have been the end with ROTF with him and Mikeala staying together and consequently being written out of the series.

That would have allowed them to work with Josh, Tyrese and John exclusively. I would have liked to see Jon Voight's character return from the first film as well. I always thought he gave a steady, serviceable performance in TF 2007. AND AND if they REALLLY needed that 'hot chick' again they could have just added the other british chick from the original though it wouldn't make much sense which is why I suppose her, Voight and the black hacker guy from the original didn't come back.

I guess it would work, although it's Sam's "destiny" to help the Autobots...... how would they just rule him out all of a sudden?

One thing they did in the trilogy is keep promoting Lennox. So if that trait stays, he'll be President by the end of the 2nd trilogy. (IF there will be 3 more.)
