Oh man, I cannot get over the recent combiner wars Dragstrip. He is perfect, just perfect. What I mean by perfect is that I don't find any flaws. The simplicity doesnt hinder anything in terms of aesthetic, playability, design, or articulation. This is how awesome his design is: even though he only has 16 point of articulation, you can put him in more poses than most other transformers since it's all falljoints with amazing range.

He is also a perfect homage to G1 engineering but all sleek and snazzy. Oh and he combines too, and beautifully so. That arm mode rocks and the the extra of making his leg shorter or taller is simple and effective.

Also the plastic is a far cry from the cheap plastic used on some generations figures last year, like Scoop.

To me, he's pretty much the Cybertron Hotshot for this new decade (although nothing will ever beat that headsculpt).

Keep in mind that I've only collected generations (hell it's only been 2 ish years since I started) but I nominate FOC Optimus. For a deluxe, he's got great articulation and an easy transformation, and he can be put in an insane amount of poses.

Do you also have WFC Optimus (the one on the left)?

No, not yet, but he's definitely on the list as I've heard quite a few good things about him. I usually try to focus on getting things that are coming out rather than older stuff, since being a high school student means having a quite limited transformer fund  .

EDIT: Dang just looked online and WFC Optimus is really expensive.... ($50 for a deluxe!!) Guess I'll have to wait to get lucky with a cheap listing...

I got mine at 10$ fresh off the shelves when it came out, along the rest of the Cybertronian cast! :3

Still, I feel your pain. I paid the @Ebay Premium Fee@ countless of times for older figures myself. So, the best thing to do is if you see something cool in store, GRAB IT NOW! Possible sale be damned.

Haha I feel ya! Whenever I try to find something from anything pre-Generations, it's always astronomically high. I agree though, I will always jump on the chance to get something old at a store if I see it.

With any luck, you will. At the time of DOTM, I bought 2 sealed Deluxe Universe Prowls at Sears. Still at the DOTM time, I found Universe Ultra Onslaught at 35$. I nabbed it without delay. Now Sears don't carry toys anymore.

It's all a matter of being at the right place at the right momment.

Also, try searching through local classified. You can find some crazy stuff at insane prices this way. Ask Will about it.

Yes, I got very lucky with local listings. And Kanrabat got lucky at local thrift shops himself, so you can always check there too. And funny you mention movie Bludgeon as well as WFC Optimus because it's thanks to Kanrabat here that I got movie Bludgeon and it was he who introduced me to someone who sold me WFC Optimus for a similar 10$. Actually, I will pm you because there is someone online who has the most random old stuff at whatever bid it goes away for, and that might interest you.

Oh geez. after some recent debates in the forums over gender issues, I'm really afraid to touch this...
but, she is deffinatly IMO the best Black Arachnia.
From a hetero-male viewpoint. mostly my own, she is the sexiest Fembot I can think of to date. That being said I would use the word sexy to describe Takara Armor Knight Prime.
I do like Ani RC, and the Gen RC is really a great toy and a nice sculpt.

Ok, but is BM Blackarachnia the best toy by design that happens to also be a fembot?

I always thought sexy was an empowering adjective, for everyone. I did find Botanica sexier than Blackarachnia though, that accent :x

which BA are we talkin about?

my favoite TF ladies would have to be:
BM blackarachnia
generations windblade
TFCC transmutate

having (regrettably) passed on 99% of prime, i had no experience with the arcee's. but those are come great figures. and i instantly fell in love with TFCC transmutate. from what i understand, thats the first edition mold? damn its a nice mold.

I was thinking toys, but ya, Botanica was a beauty, and all she stood for too.

Jaki - we on da same page. BM BA.

she has a slick transform. Clean and simple. Her sculpt and detailing is nice. Not to mention she's 60% translucent. I feel she visually embodies the character to a tee. Torn between her maniacal blackwidow nature and her nurturing love for Jojo.

I think due to transformation, Fembots proportions tend to get stretched and pulled out of whack. Not hers.

So far, based on my collection, I currently only have three ladies. TM2 Black Arachnia, Air Hammer and Sonar though on saying that I haven't seen all of my figures in a while so there could be some hidden ones.

There is more I want though and possibly more on the horizon through the windblade comic series.

Admittedly, in the fan cannon I'm creating (and drawing + writing) I have made new characters from pre-epreexisting ones, like turning the silver bolt that forms part of magnaboss into a lady bot called Athena (turns out I'm only doing what the Japanese did with Silverbolt in Beast Wars 2)

Thrilling 30 Swerve is amazing and the best. you can transform him in 3 seconds either way and he is very posable. Striker OP is so amazing cause it is the movie leader prime mold and it is his stealth mode, making it amazing. CW Silverbolt too considering how well he goes from jet to robot to torso. And Hot Spot too :BOT:
