Maybe, but I do it better.

It's TP.
Even in spite of the copy+paste models from WW compromising the art direction, it improved on almost every aspect of OoT.
Anyone who says OoT is either going along with the crowd, or caught in the middle of a nostalgia-wank.

Copy and paste...and a complete recolor and retexture for all models...so not much of a copy and paste at all, really.
The only thing TP really has on OoT is prettier graphics.

Let's not forget more inventive puzzles, deeper and more involved combat, better character development, and more fluid progression.
It does everything OoT does, but better.

Yeah, maybe.
Still, I really liked Wind Waker. It's very under-appreciated, it's a lot better than people give it credit. Probably because of the art direction, which is weird, because most reviewers liked that, and it even won the game awards in Art Direction, which was also won by BioShock, Gears of War, and Shadow of the Colossus. (Meaning it's good)
So I guess that isn't it.

Am I? Ocarina was just fantastic. I really did like Link to the Past, I just didn't think it was as good.
Tekka wrote:What bugs me about the original Zelda, is that it is a very cold and empty world that has scant few friendly characters. The ones that are present do not interact well and it has always put me off because of that.
Zelda II was not so empty, but the NPCs in it felt robotic and were not interesting.
From A Link To The Past and onwards things were much warmer and fun character wise, and it really made the game a pleasure to play. And when Link's Awakening came around, it really tugged on my heart strings especially at the end when you realize Marin is gone forever. It was really quite bitter but was a great plot point for me. Much like how I felt about the part in OOT where you are told Saria "will always be your friend".
