I never really bothered much with the Quintessons, although if they are a pivotal part of the TFs' history, I like the version where they briefly enslaved the race.
The Unicron Trilogy never happened. Most of the characters I never felt anything for anyway, and since most of the figs were obvious homages to G1 characters, I just pegged them as further upgrades.

G1 is definately the heart of all Transformers, and I could live happily without the Unicron Trilogy myself.
I like the Quintessons as opponents for all the Transformers, but I could never get onboard as them as the creators of the Autobots and Decepticons (according to the original animated series).
As to the specs, well, I guess there are aspects from the cartoon that will always be overwhelming, such as Jazz's voice.

Isn't that Animated?
Yep that seems to be the mantra of the IDW-verse. I further speculate that Megatron's BFG arm cannon may be a bastardised version of the one the original Galvatron (who left with Nova Prime aboard the first ARK) has.Night Raid wrote:Mine is G1... on crack. You'd hardly recognize it. Here's how my version of G1 is different.
1. Galvatron came first, before Megatron.
