Dude, he said IDW G1. There's no BW Rampage in IDW G1.

And who says they'd have to use either name for the character? As long as the look and persona match, we'd know who the homage is intended to resemble regardless of whatever the guy's name would be. Keep everything else and slap a new name on him and, boom, there you go. :P

And I was complaining about three Rampages in the collective Generation 1 continuity family, which includes IDW. Even though there's no BW Rampage in IDW G1, it doesn't change the fact there would be more than one Rampage.

Glad i didn't say armada cyclonus coz that could get real messy! I just like the characters I'm not hung up on names.
I like Armada Demolisher because of his total devotion to Armada Megatron, same goes for tidal wave, Side ways is great because hes the decepticon Counter punch, and i also like how they look, and i would like to see these personalities and looks added to the current IDW books.

Yeah, cuz two guys in the same family have totally never shared names before (Sky High, Barrage, all the U3 and Movieverse dudes who share names, etc.). This is nothing new.

I don't know how I could break it down any further. We were talking about IDW's G1, which already has a Rampage. There's another one in the Beast Machines cartoon. I was personally complaining about there being a third Rampage in one continuity family. That didn't come out of nowhere, my complaints were drawn from the original point.

This is nothing new.

1. Beast Wars.
2. Since it was specifically IDW G1 and not the greater family it resides in that was being discussed, the Beast era has nothing to do with IDW G1 and therefore BW Rampage does not exist in the IDW G1 continuity. It was one continuity, not the whole family, that was being discussed, thus rendering the mentionings of the whole family and all that pertain to it and not IDW G1 irrelevant to this discussion.

Then why the big fuss over nothing? I already gave you a way how to avoid the name confusion by giving not-Wheeljack/not-Rampage a new name. Why the continued objections?

But I didn't focus on BW Rampage. I brought up the G1 character as well. Another Rampage there at the same time is still confusing and annoying.

The objections about that aren't continuing. I'm explaining what I was complaining about. Past tense. I even used the word "was," so it's not like I didn't make it clear.

The point is that brinign up BW Rampage was superfluous to this the original suggestion pertained directly to IDW G1.

I was bringing up BW Rampage and the G1 continuity family as a side note. Which is why I phrased it, "And why would we need a third Rampage." It became overly elaborated. I think it got into conflict later when you stated that it came out of nowhere, and then I tried explaining that it didn't.

I had my coffee. My brain is hyperactive again. I'm never getting sleep now! :KREMZEEK:

-------------------------------------------

To continue the topic without adding misunderstood arguments that are pretty much resolved anyway, I've come up with a new Prime idea that will never happen. Yaaaay!!!!

I was watching Avatar: TLA's "The Puppetmaster" episode. If you're a fan of that show, you know that episode introduces Bloodbending to control one's body. But what if we had a Transformers equivalent?

I'm not asking for the introduction of bending powers, although it would be cool, but rather another opposition to both 'bot and 'con alike (because that's never been done before). Kind of like Mindwipe, but he controls ones body movements rather than their mind. With the subject aware of his control, this bot could use his enemies against each other. I've come up with four possible names, but I like the first one over all.

*Bloodlust
*Bloodthirst
*Bloodmaster
*The Puppetmaster (facepalm)

So, yeah. >:oP

@Pryme: yeah, I love that show. It's a cool idea you got going but you would need a way to somehow be able to move either the metal around or control the flow of energon being pumped through the chassis. We could just leave this to "mystical abilities" or someone finds a way to control said energon flow.

I don't know, it's been a long night for this Trans-Fan...

Something like body manipulation through telekinesis?

Thinking about it, it does sound familiar (if not from Transformers or Avatar, then from some other show). :-?

Telekinesis would be horrendous (and I think Heroes used it with their puppetmaster-class villain). I'd see something along the lines of a Cybertronian who can resonate their spark and brain modules with other Cybertronians to control them.

Now I remember. Animated Prowl did something similar (but not entirely the same) with Processor-over-Matter.

Yep, that's it. This Bloodlust guy has the ability to control the flow of Energon in a Cybertronian's body. I mean, there's blood in his name for a reason :P .

There was also a point in time where I thought about if Bloodlust wasn't Cybertronian. It would aid in the explanation of how he could harness this "extraordinary" ability. I, for some reason, let that idea fade.

This Bloodlust character could have been working on a energon harvesting weapon of somesorts (I think it should be because the Autobots locked up the ACTUAL energon harvester and he wanted it) and accedentially "merges" or "fuses" with the weapon in some way and can now control the flow of any stable form of energon. He could "Bloodbend" the energon within someone's body OR "water-bend" it when it's laying around or dripping from someone's chassis.

Hmm. I like the idea of merging with a weapon he was working on. I don't know about it being an energon harvester replica, though. :-?

Anyway, we'd have to put some limit on his ability. If he just had the power to control anyone, he'd be too dangerous an enemy. So, let's put stamina in here. The bigger the bot, the harder it is for him to manipulate energon and control them. That puts limits on who he can control and for how long.

This is becoming a collaborative story arc. I like it.

Unlike in TLA series, I think he should only be able control one being at a time too. That way he's not pulling the "force choke" on everybody in the same room. Meaning he would also need to be an excellent strategist, having to choice which enemy represents the biggest threat if he's outnumbered.

Well, I actually had the idea that he used Bumblebee and Arcee against Optimus, since they are the smallest Autobots. We could still use stamina as a working factor and make it harder to control one being at a time, as well as the rule that the difficulty to control a bot depends on their size. This also affects how long he can do it.

Now I'm thinking more along then line of Animated Soundwave when he controlled the Autobots in Human Error. He can control more then one of them, but to be most efficient he would need to focus all his efforts on one bot. (And try not to lose focus like Soundwave did.)

Weapon: Battle Blades
More Armada stuff (Sorry but this is my fav) but they never used the mincons to their fullest in the comics or cartoon, the best use of them was the game, each one gave the bigger bots new abilities, like flight, shields etc. This would make them more valuable, once again I'd love to see minicons and their uses and value brought into the idwverse.

I want to see Transformers exploring new worlds. Of course, this would require a LOT of world-building effort by the writers. Either the Transformers could gain experience and forge alliances or they could enslave and exploit the locals.
