What to do with these misfits.

these are probably the only transformers i am willing to sell because of a few reasons:
1. not in the movie
2. ugly robot and vehicle modes
3. they are out numbering my decepticons from DOTM

how do i go about getting rid of them? all 4 are shelf warmers, bumblebee is just plain ugly, and well, its a bumblebee. the jolt is a piece of crap, and skids and mudflap while fun to transform they are ugly in both modes.
suggestions? i will sell them, but i modified skids' legs to have a working knee so he could move his leg back somewhat.

You can try to sell them, either separately or as a package deal. Mention the Skids modification and you might actually get more for it since it's been 'customized' to improve articulation.

Aside from that, if you do any kitbashing or painting, you might consider making them into something you might like better.

I put a coat of clear red paint on the Prime RiD shadow strike Bumblebee or whatever he's called (the one BBTS made me buy in order to get the figures I actually wanted :P) and he now looks pretty awesome sitting there in car mode, a lot like Knockout actually, due to his new color scheme.

i would rather not customize them. i have better things to customize. i might sell them all as one lot. how much should i list all 4 if all together? buy it now and starting bid price?

edit: the toys are listed. take a look and the thread can be deleted or moved or something.

Honestly, when I end up with figs I don't want and know that it would be a hassle to get rid of them. I simply bag them up and give them to some local kids that live nearby. That way there are two possibilities:
1) The kids love them - they are enjoyed, played with and more than likely destroyed in the process
2) Kids don't like them - they end up in the bottom of a toy box and are tossed in a garage sale when they move out.

Either way they're no longer my problem.

If I had the money, I would take them off your hands.

It is possible that your sales pitch may need some refining. ;)

DOTM Jolt is appreciated by some; but IMO he's decidedly inferior to the ROTF/HFTD mold. DOTM Skids and Mudflap seem nearly universally reviled (though I have seen their defenders here); and that Bumblebee is… really only appealing to Bumblebee collectors.

You can't expect to get much for these. It's conceivable you'd come across some DOTM aficionado who would trade something moderately interesting for the lot of them; but I think even that is a long shot.

Giving them away as Mkall suggests is a pretty reasonable option. Alternatively, you could see if whatzitooya has even a dime to his name.

Or customise them into something that'll sell better.

Oh, my. I hadn't even looked at the auction. Someone's quite the optimist.

Yowzers. My GF's dad would say he is really proud of those figures.

Whenever I buy a lot of figures or have something I dont want/like, I just give them to my little cousin. He is ten and loves TFs so I can help expand his collection/increase his love of them and replace any damaged ones.

Seeing him happy is worth more than making a couple of bucks.

Donate them to Toys for Tots or something. Or give em to your neighbours kids.
IMO

Why not give them to charity...or burn them! ;)

Doubledealer, your Ebay auction is spot on. I would have left out the "buy it now" option because you may have ironically more than 40$ for the lot.

As for what I think of the figures:

DotM Jolt is okay. Not more.

Bumblebee? I dont know what mold yours is but I dont like that "grafiti" deco. Usually, most BB toys are great.

I don't own DotM Skids but I do own DotM Mudflap. WHY THE HELL PEOPLE HATE HIM? DotM Mudflap is a very awesome toy and one of the best DotM deluxes. The bot mode and vehicle are excellent and the transformation are ingenious.

Ironically, I'll have to rely on Ebay to get my missing DotM skids. :/

that bumblebee is a target exclusive. all the plastic on it is translucent yellow. it is the ugliest thing that has been in my collection. and as for mudflap he is ok for a toy, he probably has the most paint on him out of the entire DOTM line. but he is still a turd. and i could care less about him since he was not in the movie, which is half the reason i got him, i thought he would be in the movie with jolt and skids.

You obviously bought them all at the time for a reason and now they hold zero interest to you, been down that road many times my friend. I definitely agree with you that they are ALL turds and you're right in parting with them. I also agree with the others in giving or donating to a Goodwill or Salvation Army or other cause perhaps. I've done it and it will make some kid/kids really happy and you'll feel good too man, that's if you can't sell them of course! ;)^ :VEHI:
