What to use for a custom Transmetal Scorponok?

I've been pondering and pondering what figure(s) might be used to create a custom/kitbashed Transmetal Scorponok.

Anyone have any ideas?

My preference is obviously that his beast mode look like a Transmetal Scorpion and that his bot mode at least slightly resemble something you'd see in the Beast Wars Transmetals line.

Before anyone suggests it, Movie Scorponok is definitely out, but I'm open to ideas involving using parts from such a figure.

If it dosent bother you, why not making it out of Bionicles Lego pieces? You would be able to make it look right and transformable. You'll just have to add metalic paints for later.

Just have a look at my Lady of the Ice to give you an idea how a creepy crawler may look like in Bionicles.

That didn't even occur to me, thanks :D!

I'm about to comment on your new custom too. I hadn't checked her out yet.

Well, he's pretty much done. Now I just need a camera (I hate to use my crappy cell phone to take the pics).

I ended up using a Beast Machines Dinotron as the base figure along with a bunch of bits from Beast Wars Quickstrike along with a couple pieces from Beast Machines Thrust, a couple of bits from some Kabaya kits, and a bit from the McDonald's Beast Wars Transmetal Scorponok.

All that combined with tons of metallic purple and red paints and he looks pretty cool.

I'll post pics once I've taken them over in the Customizations area, but I think I'm gonna hop on Amazon and get myself a new digital camera first.

Dude, I'm looking forward to see the thing! =P~

I do hope it's still transformable. For me, nothing is more sad than a custom transformer that no longer transform. :-(

Oh yes, he tranforms from Transmetal scorpion to robot and back again, and I'm pretty sure I can even fudge out a third vehicle mode somehow considering a few of the parts I used (probably some oddball flying vehicle of sorts).

He looks great in both bot mode and scorpion mode, to me anyway :P.

I ordered the camera on Amazon yesterday, so hopefully I'll be receiving it within the next week or two so I can start taking pics (I have a nice new bright light to put him under too, so the pics should be better than those I've posted previously).

OK, I couldn't resist. I went ahead and took pics with my crappy phone and posted them here.

I posted higher-res pics, replacing the old ones in the topic here :).
