I feel as if DOTM had classic transformers storyline which I enjoyed more then ROTF. But that's just me.

Well, all 3 movies where practically based on episodes from G1. Like Hoover dam in the first movie, the Sun Harvester in ROTF, and humans working with the Decepticons in DOTM. They where all concepts from G1 episodes.
