I got my very first TF twelve years ago in 1995, when I was six years old. My brother and I got some money for a toy and decided to get one of each cool-looking motorcycle robots. I didn't know squat about TransFormers (other than the fact they were robots that transformed) and didn't know anything about these particular characters. My brother liked the black old-style motor cycle and I preferred the red sporty cycle.
We used them as killer drones disguised as a motorcycles for our 3 3/4th " figures.
I was intrigued by the concept of Beast Wars and got Iguanus and Razorbeast as my first BW TFs. Back at the time, I didn't know BW was officially part of TF. I like the idea of BW, probably because I didn't grow up with G1 and didn't expect them to fit in with TF lore. They were a cool concept in their own right and I ended up with quite a few before my 'TF dark ages'.
I started collecting toys as a hobby in 2003, aged 14. Back then, I only collected Star Wars merchandise and an occasional random cool toy. I was intrigued by the SWTFs, which urged me to try out a modern real TF. I picked up two regular Cybertron Ransacks, because they looked like sci-fi cycles and could be displayed as bodyguards for my SWTF General Grievous. I liked these Ransacks so much, they got me totally into TF Cybertron and sucked me into a second collection. Up until this day, I dig the Ransack mold and the superior GTS repaint is my favorite Scout sized TF.
When I discovered TFU.info in 2006, I finally found out the names of the two very first TFs my brother and I had. They were the G2 Laser Cycles; Road Rocket and Road Pig
