Where did Dreamwave stop?

Now, before Dreamwave went bankrupt, there were some unfinished storylines. I can only think of WWI Vol. 3 & G1 Ongoing. I'm thinking that G.I. Joe/TF's Divided Front wasn't finished only because it's impossible to find anything past issue #1. Help?

Well, that both solves my problem & ticks me off. Every time I go to the Comics section now, I'll be depressed at having to see all the issues that weren't published because of that rat bas***d Pat Lee. Damn.......I'll just go pick up all the variant covers I guess...........

I seem to remember there being talks of releasing the last 3 issues of Age of Wrath in one massive sized single issue comic. The same would most likely befall the other series, as well given time. However, no such release has reached fruition. Would have been nice though. If memory serves correctly, the artwook has been made for all of those titles, just never released in any shape, form, or fashion. That sucks... I was a big DW fan, too.

Well I just wanna finish G1 Ongoing & WWI Vol. 3. All I know is what we all knew 23 years ago, they all get aboard the Ark & crash land on Prehistoric Earth 4,000,000 BC. The rest.....is history. As for Ongoing, it's anybody's guess from this point...........I suppose Megs gets control, Prime returns, something about Female Autobots....& the rest is where I'm lost...........

Megs was gonna take over earth and try to stop unicron before conquering universe. Cyclonus was going to apear and attempt to free scourge. Prime would fight the fembots to get hotrod back. probably being killed and passing on the matrix eventually. Megs prob. would've turned into galvatron near the end of fighting unicron and gone after cybertron next. Age of wrath we would have found out why the quintessans hate megatron so much as well as the transformers themselves.

God I much preferred Dreamwave to IDW's TF's.

But then, the ultimate TF comic series for me was the Marvel run. If only the continued on from those the way Devil's Due did with GI Joe.

Wish Devil's Due would do TF ongoing. I know this is blasphemy but I hope IDW lose the licence and we get some TF comics where they know the characters like Dreamwave did.

Oh come on, you can't say you don't like the Spotlight or the Infiltration/Escalation series. Those are pretty good IDW comics there. IMO at least......

I can't say as to whether I prefer IDW to DW. They both pretty much rule. I just wish DW would've had an actual ending instead of just being dumped.

Think they would ever finish the loose ends? :-?

The idea has been kicked around a bit. I think Furman has talked about finishing WW vol. 3 at IDW, but I don't know if that will ever take off. Gen. 1 ongoing? Doubt it. That'll probably stay dead, but I hope I'm wrong. Energon? Why continue a dead series? GI Joe? Highly doubt it. Really, the only one with any hope at all is WW vol. 3. I think the idea was supposed to be that the last 3 issues would be released in one massive issue to finish out the series, but I really don't think it'll happen this late in the game, which is really depressing considering most of the artwook has been done for all of these titles.

I was really looking forward to the Cybertron comics, too. They never got an IDW comic.

Well, if you suscribe to the TFCC newsletter, the comic in there is titled Cybertron, but it doesn't follow the characters that are in the tv show, just Vector Prime. The comic reads more like a continuation of the Universe comic, though.

DW G1 was going to be a fanwankish cartoon rehash just watch TFTM and season 3 to get a grasp of what would happen.

Dude, DW G1 isn't like that.

Actually, that's not too far from the truth. If you look at a lot of occurances, they all mirror what happened in the movie. Note: Movie takes place in 2005, all of G1 ongoing was published in 2005, so yeah. I mean, Megs is betrayed by Screamer, Unicron is on his way, as seen in issue 0, something about Scourge and Cyclonus as see on the cover of like 11 or 12 I forget which one, not to mention Prime's leave of absense. So, yeah. I'm sure Megs woulda turned into Galvatron at some point, too. Oh, and if you read #10, it shows the construction of Autobot City Earth and the blueprints that Prowl has on the projector bears a striking resemplence to Trypticon's nemesis, Metroplex.
