I'd watched the movie "Amelie" and liked it. It was supposed to be a temporary change, but in the way back every attempt to change it led to someone saying "I don't see Amelie about anymore" or "your new name sucks". So "Amelie" it remains.

I was just an eighth grade kid when I first made this account. I actually had a couple accounts beforehand, both of which were something like "Nemesis PrimeX" ("X" being some numbers), which I have lost the log-in information for. Went and made a third account, promising myself that I'd be more active on the boards. I was sitting in front of the screen, trying to come up with an original name, and "Mindmaster" was the first thing to pop up. So it was, and shall be forever more. I've actually built up other, non-Transformers-related accounts with the same name, I've become so very fond of the name.

Later in life, I found that my name was not as original as I thought it was. :oops:

Embarrassing, but true, story: for whatever reason, I didn't catch on to your name, thinking it was some gibberish. Thinking that, I pronounced it as "Noid-uh-frame". A little less than a year later, I finally got it. I've been facepalming hard since. #-o #-o #-o

Years ago I signed up (for the very first time) to a message board of a Star Trek fandom. I don't even remember what it was called. I decided to Klingon-ize my name Michael into M'Kall. I liked it well enough that I carried it with me to other boards. Eventually I found a board that didn't like the apostrophe, so I dropped it and following good grammar, uncaptialized the K to become Mkall.

Name: Sam

Self insertion character in comic strips friends and I would write in highschool: Samson (Not my choice, but I ran with it)

Transformer I really like: Devastator (even though my favourite character is Soundwave)

Samson + Devastator = Samsonator.... I guess...

I had considered changing it many times over the last... probably about 8 years or so... to fit it in with my usual online persona of "TheNewSam" but honestly even though I'm coming up on my 11th year on the site, I'm on so infrequently that the name is all the older members have to remember me by.

Well I've always liked the term deus ex machina.

Of course, my previous name, Godzillabot Primal, needs no explanation as to the inspiration!

So when I decided to have my character regenerate in my comic, I wanted a new name to go with the face.

So I scrambled up "deus ex machina" into "Madeus". (Obviously I might add an EX, just because)

So that's me.

>:oP Meh... could have sworn that I had already posted this, but anyhoo...
Back in High School, I had a friend that had immigrated to the US,spoke very little English, and he also suffered from a speech impediment. He struggled through our English classes, and I offered to help him. As English was his second language, and his impediment kept him from pronouncing words correctly, The Hunchback of Notre Dame was read "Quasimodo" but my buddy would say "Fuhzimota" (which sounded like he was trying to say "fuzzy motor" which all of our disturbed circle though was really funny - I know, what a bunch of morons....but hey, it was the '80s...) Years later, I would try various smart-ass names for my first email account (back when ya had to PAY for internet browsers - you know, the Stone Age?) but the only one I could come up with that wasn't already taken (and that I could remember) was Fuhzimota, and it stuck... so as I've said elsewhere, I'm Fuhzi for life! :lol:

I know this thread has been dormant lately, but Burn doesn't like clogged garbage, so I'll bite.

I had always wanted the handle "Nemesis Magnus" because Ultra Magnus is one of my favorite transformers, and Nemesis is relevant to the franchise for various reasons. But that name was unavailable. So I changed it to Maximo because it sounds awesome, and was also TF related.

Well, I like Prime Rib. I also like like the Riblet platter at Applebee's. Of course, the word Prime doesn't need explanation. Mash it all together and you come up with a tasty handle for a Transformers site.

I like comics.
Plenty of Captain characters there. Captain America, Captain Atom for starters. Alliteration is also heavily used.
I like Star Trek and who didn't want to be The Captain, especially of the Enterprise.
My name is Craig

Captain Craig, it's been my internet message board handle for over a decade now, sometimes with a space, sometimes not.
I've tried to keep the same Spidey/Man-Thing avatar where possible as well and had that for about 6-7 years so if you see that combo elsewhere it's me.

One time I was playing network Duke Nukem 3D (yup, we're going back that far), and I chose that as my player name. So when I signed on here, I naturally thought it was perfect.

Now, what caused me to use it on Duke Nukem? That, I can't remember. Maybe I'd just come from watching an episode.

Mine comes from a joke I made a long time ago on 4chan's /m/ board (I know, I'm not proud of it either) which involved pretending to be Nicholas Cage's character from Gone in 60 seconds.

I ended up leaving Memphis Raines in the name field and then it kind of stuck, then when I got my PS3, I needed to shorten it down and/or add numbers so it jumped to MemphisR and 56 is my favourite number, so I just threw that on there.

I used to also go by the handle of Ratchet while I was at university learning to be a nurse, but I dropped out at the end of my first year when I'd pretty much made up my mind that I hated the job, so Ratchet became Ratchphis (a portmanteau of Ratchet and Memphis) which I still use here there and everywhere as well.

Well, my name is Bradley and as this is a Transformers site I wanted a Transformers name of some sort. I like to use my name in my handle because it reminds me that I'm posting on behalf of myself and as I'm representing myself in the forum I should always act like... myself! :grin:

So it goes like this:

Orion Pax -> Optimus Prime

Hot Rod -> Rodimus Prime

Bradley -> Bradimus

I left off the Prime because I thought was overkill. :michaelbay:

When I first came to Seibertron I took the name -Soundwave- Since Soundwave is my favorite character. After some time, and getting into the Heavy Metal War came I took on one of my characters name instead.

The name "It Is Him" is a romanization of an Egyptian title meaning "Ra's Great Warrior". To earn it, I had to beat the previous owner in a battle to the death. After claiming the title, I took the name as my Internet handle. One day, a new warrior will come to claim the title from me, and I will be prepared to pass on the legacy only when I am ready.
