Hercules is about the same size as Cybertron Primus

Ok, this is the claw:

This is Hercules:

Between the two, I actually think I would go for the Energon repaint.
Especially if the vehicle mode for Project Genesis looks like this:Image

There's no way that's the whole thing... o_O If it were, the claw would be half the mass of the entire thing! xD

Well, this is what the claw looks like compared to FoC Bruticus!

And one of the very early teasers, with FoC Optimus to compare.

(Should this thread move to the Third Party section?)

His limbs are worryingly thin from that that concept art. xD

Sooooo, for $300 I get disproportionate limbs, 5 LED lights (wow) and an alt mode that looks like a space corkscrew? Right...

Count me in as another one wanting YOTS Omega. He fits in better for what I want.

I still say if money was no object, hire some designers from Hasbro or Takara to make Animated Omega Supreme in Generations style.

Not sure if Planet X is only making to order for Robot Kingdom, or making more and just hoping people buy. I still want to wait and see a review of Project Genesis, before I decide to add him do not want another Xovergen Grand Patriot waste. But if a review says its good, then I might add him. But for now I'm going to go after GP YOTS Omega Supreme

Well, Hasbro didn't design G1, they just recolored it.

I would buy the G1 but it has too many parts that can get lost. I want the Plantinum version.

Well I just saw a video review of the Energon OS which the Platinum version is based on. Admittedly I don't like the transformation of it being two parts combining into one. Also I am not really feeling it with the alt mode (crane truck/space cruiser) whereas the Project X version feels like actual space ship.

If money wasn't the problem I'd take Project Genesis AND Generations Cybertron Optimus Prime (either or both, if possible), Generations Megatron, Generations Bruticus and FOC Grimlock

I honestly can't believe the guys making Genesis are getting away with it. It looks so much like the WFC character model it's close to IP infringement.

Aside from the strange looking vehicle mode it does look cool though.

In all honesty though, I'd probably get the Energon version. Cooler claw and head than the repaint, more original colour scheme, just better in general.

But then I really liked the Energon toyline (although the cartoon was dreadful in every single conceivable way).

It's not close to IP infringement, it IS IP infringement. The only detail missing is the Autobot symbol. I'm amazed they were able to make a toy so accurate to the game model. I'm still contemplating getting it, but I'm waiting to see the final colors first.

If I didn't have to worry about money, probably Genesis, but I'd still want to see the final coloration before saying anything with real assurance.

The reality, however, is I'm not getting either of them. Genesis is too expensive and I don't care enough for Hasbro's to warrant the expense.
