Which Toyline offers the BEST quality in your opinion? PLZ INPUT!

Postby Kingplay » Sat Jul 28, 2007 11:58 pm

Your answer can't be Masterpiece and Binaltech/Alternators, since those are obviously the best.

But after those three lines, what comes next?

Revoltech? Titanium Die-Cast? The Classic-line? Vintage?

What is your opinion?

Ed

Well if it is quality and not detailed, then I would have to say the FAB's and the Voyager Movie Line. Certainly good quality.

aww, when i saw this thread first thing that popped in mind was alternators. but if you put it that way, i say the movie line; deluxe, voyager, and leader.

Galaxy Force / Cybertron would be my answer. There were so many good figures in that line, I can't really even think of 1 that was a downer. They all had pretty cool Alt modes and pretty solid robot modes, I enjoyed the line tremendously.

Gonna have to agree with ACSS.
The quality of the figures over each wave never wavered.
The designs were show accurate, the transformations were fun and intuitive, every figure had something that was truly good about them (yes even Backstop and Lugnutz).
Robot modes were very posaeble, weapons were cleverly designed to be part of the toy, so you didn't have to keep them safe somewhere else.
Paint applications were clean, and paint schemes were for the most part well designed and looked nice/suited the character.
There were no real issues with the toys, no stress marks, no easy to snap off limbs.

Even non-show figures were above par.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

I am jumping on board with ACSS and Trunks, I have every single mold and repaint from Cybertron save for Skywarp/Thundercraker and Runamuck (the only poor cybertron molds in my opinion)

Overall, Cybertron brought wave after wave of great product.

Classics would be my runner up just because there are less of them. Given time though, with the continuation of the line, classics will probably be my answer.

Cybertron/Galaxy Force is the best line so far! It's gonna be very difficult for them to beat that line.

i'd answer Classics but the plastic and paintjobs are freakin' inconsistent. some QC issues with the seekers (esp. the part where the glass in the cockpit aligns with the nose part). maybe they'll remedy these issues with Classics 2.0. same with the movie line; they're pretty good but inconsistent.

for recent releases, GF / Cybertron is my answer.

for vintage TFs? check the BW series.
all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.
