Again ... Model T vs any modern car would say otherwise.

By that reasoning Star Trek The Motion Picture would be better than Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan
And that's just silly.

some continuities have Omega as being newer and the technobots as older.Burn wrote:duragrip wrote:Since G1 Omega Supreme is a lot older, he was probably made of sturdier materials. Old technology is more durable and built to last.

Because there have been enough time travel stories in which the future Galvatron and the past Megatron met and interacted with each other that having them both covered on the same page would make too much confusion for the Average Joe to read and keep track of.duragrip wrote:Why do G1 Megatron and G1 Galvatron have separate Wiki pages if they're the same guy?

Twas likely erected after the Cons thought Megatron died after Starscream chucked him out of Astrotrain in the movie, but before Megs returned to Cybertron as Galvatron to interrupt Starscream's coronation.duragrip wrote:Do you believe that was a statue of Megatron in the Decepticon mausoleum in the episode "Starscream's Ghost". It had a fusion canon and head-sculpt very reminiscent of Megatron.

Inside a crypt for the dead? I'd think Megs would be insulted to have his statue put in a place where statues of dead guys go.RhA wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Twas likely erected after the Cons thought Megatron died after Starscream chucked him out of Astrotrain in the movie, but before Megs returned to Cybertron as Galvatron to interrupt Starscream's coronation.duragrip wrote:Do you believe that was a statue of Megatron in the Decepticon mausoleum in the episode "Starscream's Ghost". Well, he's a dictator. Those guys tend to commission statues of themselves just for the hell of it. Could be an old one.

Megatron already had his cartoon body in the comics that came before All Hail Megatron.duragrip wrote:I know "All Hail Megatron" was considered an abortion (ie. It should never have happened) but I enjoyed the art because the characters were drawn exactly like the g1 cartoon. Megatron looked just like the g1 cartoon. I even heard his gravelly voice. That's how spot-on it was.

However, Prowl, Sunstreaker, and Sideswipe did not have their cartoon bodies. They instead had their Universe toy bodies that were available at stores at the time. Hasbro asked the comic people to put those ones in the comics.
Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker also didn't have their cartoon bodies. They instead had bodies based on Starscream's Masterpiece toy, which used the cartoon body as a basis, but changed some things a bit like having really long jet pieces hanging off of their legs.
Devastator didn't quite have his cartoon body. He had something like it, but it was missing its chest wings and had the shoulder treads moved to the forearms. And the head was a bit different:
I don't understand why some people belived that Unicron killed Megatron during creation of Galvatron, it seems so forced. If Galvatron indeed replaced Megatron as a entity, it happened slowly.duragrip wrote:This is documentation of Megatron's death:

Not that Devastator's head was ever consistent in the cartoon:
