I was just wondering because I dont think they were ever in the same episode. Same thing with Tryipticon and Scorponok who was bigger?

Depends on your continuity and who was drawing them that day!

Fort Max is supposedly bigger than Metro in the cartoon and certainly in the toy version, AFAIK. The Marvel version started off a little above-average and was retooled to much larger than regular TFs, but not city sized. I can't remember which way Dreamwave went, but I'd suspect they followed the 'toon.

Scorponok is of a similar size to Max in both the comic and the 'toon, probably similar to Trypticon, who likewise is more battle station than city sized in the comics.

As an aside - for Metroplex, the comic explanation was that he was part of Autobot City rather than the entire city itself, which makes much more sense to me.

--EDIT--
See also this image from the Japanese Headmasters series, which makes absolutely no sense when you look at the relative sizes of Chromedome and Fortress (either the boxout pic or in head mode).

So, Fortress is somewhere between a gestalt and Metroplex? Interesting. That would put the "Spike" part of the toy about the size of a 'normal' TF?

Well, in all cases the Spike part is supposed to be around human size, and becomes the head of something around the size of a normal TF. It's just the 'Maximus' part that seems to get confused about how big it is, or can logically be based on the demonstrable size of its head...

--EDIT--
Just understood what you meant. Fortress, as per the Headmasters series, is about the same height as Chromedome IIRC. When he becomes the head of Fortress Maximus, the combination seems to suddenly become much bigger ("Big Mode!", indeed).

In the episode 'Ghost In The Machine' is was Never said that Metroplex'/Trypticon's eyes were the same size as Unicrons. Only that they were big enough to be installed inside Unicron's head. :-B

Technically couldn't just about anyones eyes be jimmy-rigged in Unicron's head?

Going by the cartoon, I'd say Fort Maxwas bigger. In I remember from on Headmasters episode that he towered over an Earth city. Metroplex did the same thing, but I would say Fort Max was still bigger. Then again, if Metroplex was a Headmaster, he would have a normal sized TF as a head, so maybe they're the same size......as to having the same sized eyes as Unicron, I (regretably) must agree w/Raymond T. on this one. Just because both Trypticon & Metroplex's eyes fit Unicron's socket's doesn't mean that they have the same sized eyes. Just look at Unicron & Metroplex. A whole planetary size difference. I'll say they were the same size for argument's sake.

And let's not forget that Unicron's head could be one of many different sizes, depending on the episode you watch.

I'd think Skorp and Fort Max would be about the same size as each other.

I'd say Max and Skorp are bigger than Metroplex and Trypticon. For no other reason that Fort Max has 'maximus' in his name, and that's Latin for big.

if you go by the UK comics which is from what i remember is the only comic appearance of Metroplex he's pretty much five times bigger than Trypticon who was only around ten times the size of Flywheels in the same line of comics fort max and scorpy where portrayed as only slightly bigger than Ultra Magnus :-?

I'm leaning toward Metroplex being bigger. (from a certain point of view)

-G1 S3 "The Ultimate Weapon". When Blades dropped First Aid onto Metroplex to fix the cog. There's a shot where First Aid (struggling to hang on) is beside Metroplex's head. It it appears to be 4-5 times bigger than First Aid.

-Assuming First Aid is as tall as Cerebros, and Spike (or any other human) fits in as Cerebros' head, I'll assume Spike can fit into First Aid's head (if First Aid ever wanted to be a Headmaster).

If First Aid were to transform into a head, and even including the size shift where he becomes the size of an actual ambulance (twice the size), First Aid's "head mode" would still not be as big as Metroplex's head.

Thus I can conclude that Cerebros in "head mode" is smaller than Metroplex's head.

If heads are proportional to the bodies they're on, Fort Max's body would be smaller than Metroplex's.

Thus Metroplex is bigger than Fort Max.

Could you imagine the real Metroplex toy if Metroplex's head was 3 times bigger than the current Cerebros? Since Fort Max is already 2 feet tall...

Dude, that is fantastically well reasoned. I agree completely, now at least, but for some reason I always thought Fort Max would have been larger but was unable to say why. This makes a lot of sense. I also didn't remember that episode of the show. I applaud you. *clap clap clap clap*

Someone is making a more accurately sized Metroplex.
