MP Megatron is just fine for my collection. Unless Has/Tak is going to make a Megatron to scale with MP Prime, I am not interested in another version. They reside on their own shelf, front and center, in my Transformers room. They need to be in scale.

I like my figures big. Especially the highly detailed figures. I am not buying into the new MP figures because I don't think their size differentiates them enough from Alternators or Classics.

I will never stop loving the MP-5. I do think his fusion cannon is way too big and heavy, but no big deal for me! This version of Megatron is my favorite design.

He may have some problems, but I love my MP-5. As far as the complaints that the fusion cannon is too big... That is true, but there is a (*cough* third-party *cough*) soloution for that, that also helps the alt-mode out a ton.

Mind you, as I said, he definitely has some problems. But he's still awesome. I'll take him over Hegemon with his (in my opinion) weak looking alt-mode and accessories (the stock extension) that seems to have no use with the robot mode any day.

That being said, since they've done a new Optimus, I'd not mind if they took another shot at Megatron in the new MP scale, as well. The legs could definitely use some work, perhaps with a transformation somewhat inspired by the Legends class version (more complexly designed to fill in the hollow back end, of course). But if they do do another MP Megatron, I suppose there's an even chance they may do a non-gun alt mode (such as a G2 tank) which I know has many advocates, but I am not one of them. We'll see, I suppose.

And until such a hypothetical day comes to pass, as I said I am more then happy with my MP-5!

Megatron (MP-5) was my first Masterpiece release, but it will go up for sale pretty soon. I prefer the new smaller sizes, where all Transformers match. Megatron does not fit in unfortunately and therefore he has to find a new home. I am hoping for a smaller sized Megatron Masterpiece release still.

Amen.

The 2 leaders should be the biggest. (I love the MP-1 OP too) Despite the spindly legs he's still a force to be reckoned with.

MP Megatron seems to be climbing recently - $250 for MISB on eBay.

well he isn't worthless he goes for £80-£100 on EBay or over in some cases. Maybe you are selling him at the wrong time?

Hes a decent figure to have though but not really much you can actually do with him, i have purchased the Toysworld megatron which is excellent and a near perfect replica of Megatron although he does have the popping off pieces from the body which is a bit annoying.
