Why no Dinobots in TF Prime?

I was shocked and angered that Dinobots were a no show for Transformers Prime. WHY? I thought they were going to appear. If the Decepticons have Predacons, why can't Autobots have Dinobots to battle against the Predacons. The Predacon/Predaking is powerful and has taken out Ultra Magnus and even Optimus Prime. Just seeing that makes me want/wish to see Grimlock and other Dinobots take on the Predaking. Still I don't see why the show can't have Dinobots.

If they don't/can't have Dinobots then what about Monsterbots or some other animal Autobot transformer.

Anyway, I can't wait for Dinobots in Transformers Age of Extinction.

The Dinobots weren't in Prime for a simple in-universe reason: They were stuck on Cybertron and no one knew that anyone was living underground.

Read the Beast Hunters comic for what they're doing during Prime. The last issue even happens after Predacons Rising and has them meet-up with the Prime cast.

My guess is that the Dinobots (or at least Grimlock) was planned to be included in the season, but when it was shortened to 13 episode, they were probably cut to keep the story on track. It would have been nice to see a fight between Grimlock and Predaking, though.

They simply couldn't be worked into the show. So they put them into a comic series set in the show's continuity instead.

There's supposed to be a Dinobot on Bumblebee's team in Robots in Disguise which is a sequel to Prime.
