After getting my TFCCSS (that's a lot of frickin' letters ) Ultra Mammoth and displaying him in his beautiful bot mode, I can't help but feel that a few accessories would go a long way to differentiate him from his mold mates (Big Convoy, Nemesis Prime and Black Big Convoy).

He's got these two holes at the top of his shoulder kibble that would be perfect for pegs from some hypothetical Ultra Magnus style shoulder cannons.

And while he does come with a massive dual-shot cannon-o-doom, I prefer to keep that on his back because I love the trunk kibble pointing skyward behind his head. It makes for a great silhouette in bot mode so I would also like to see a somewhat G1 style Ultra Magnus gun for him (though perhaps larger/slightly different styled to differentiate him from his car carrier truck counterpart/namesake).

What do you guys and gals think? Would you buy these accessories (assuming you got Ultra Mammoth)?

I would be all for it. Im having trouble figuring out who to put Ultra Mammoth with since I dont have alot of Beast Wars stuff. But he is a cool figure.

I'd be all for the shoulder cannons/launchers, especially if there were a spot for them in mammoth mode. Just got this figure and love it. I'm all for some reasonably priced accessories.

Yes, I know (it is one of my favorite molds of all time after all ) but they're unpainted for one thing and there's those perfect peg holes just waiting for real rocket launchers .

I did go ahead and snag a KO FP TFX-03 set just so I could give Ultra Mammoth the Magnus style gun.

I might see about modding those rockets that come with it somehow to make them work with him, but I'm not too optimistic about that working out.

After some shaving with my trusty pocket knife, I was able to get the KO FP Magnus gun to fit into Ultra Mammoth's hands in its primary/rifle mode (the one that Ultra Magnus with his armor on would be wielding).

I also discovered that the pegs on the KO shoulder cannons are exactly the right size to fit into the holes in the shoulder kibble on Ultra Mammoth, although they end up pointing up/down/to the side (depending on how you position them) instead of forward, but they look pretty damn good pointing upwards, so I'm going to keep them there .

If this is the look you want, it can be achieved. But you will need to buy the right parts and finding them alone on e-bay might be costly.



First you need to get the right KO rocket launchers. If you bought the set with the gun you probably got the wrong type. Unfortunately the guys who KOed the rocket launchers and gun set are not the same guys that KOed the whole City Commander trailer set so there is a mold difference in the rocket launchers. The launchers that come with the gun are an exact duplicate of the authentic Fansproject launchers. The ones that came with the KO City Commander set have a notch in the back. The notch really helps.



You will need to get hold of two rafts from ROTF Whirl (TRU exclusive w/Bludgon) or ROTF Evac. The rafts snap apart into three pieces. You only need the bottom pieces of the rafts with the posts.



Turn the pieces sideways and wedge them into the notch on the back of the rocket launchers. Then just pop them right in Ultra Mammoth’s shoulders. If you want to sacrifice the rafts and the KO launchers, you can glue them together into a position that looks even better and more compact than how I wedged them. And if you use the glue you don’t need to have the launchers with the notch. You can just glue the raft right on top of the rocket launcher post centered with enough clearance to plug in the raft posts to the shoulders.





I think it looks cool, but I don’t have a set of white launchers with the notch plus I don’t want to destroy the rafts. If you decide to try this, post pictures so I can see how it looks…Peace.

I don't have Evac or Whirl unfortunately and it would be pretty pricey to get 2 of them just for those bits. You're right about the notches too, mine doesn't have them.

I have been considering a few options to make it work though, including possibly just snipping off the posts from the sides of the launchers and gluing them to the backs of them so they can be positioned properly, assuming I can't find something to use to connect to them somehow that has posts of the right size in my parts bin.

I'll definitely get you some pics of him if/when I complete the kitbash .
