Worst transformer toy I have ever owned.

Ok, so I have been really hyped about the Prime series line and have been wanting to get at least one of each of them ok. Well, to my luck I found Airachnid available for purchase on the hasbro toy shop website recently and quickly bought one up. It arrived the other day and I must say, This is absolutely the worst transformers toy I have ever had the displeasure of owning. The vehicle mode is cool, don't get me wrong. But the bot mode is just pathetic. There is next to no articulation in the legs, the arms and hand are worse than the old G1 Block bots ones. Yes I said WORSE! The only other arms I could compare them to is the US version of Prime series Cliffjumper. The first edition japanese version was fantastic. But I aam severely disappointed in what Hasbro has to offer the US consumers. It is as if they are purposely making a KNOCKOFF edition just for us and giving other countries the pick of the litter so to speak.

What do you guys think?

It's a bad figure, but not the worst by any stretch of the imagination.

Armada Sideswipe and all of his repaints are the worst Transformers ever.

But guys, he's talking about the worst Transformer he's owned. Maybe he doesn't own the figures that really suck.

I think Airachnid is the worst of the Prime line for sho (talking slang about toys :BANG_HEAD:), but I need her (and Dreadwing) to complete my in-show Decepticon cast.

Uh, there was no FE Airachnid, and the FE line wasn't exclusive to Japan. Unless you mean, the Japanese release of the FEs.

The first wave of Deluxes (Bumblebee, Arcee, and Starscream) made it to U.S retail, but the 1.5 (Cliffjumper) and Voyagers (Optimus and Bulkhead) didn't. They were in Canada and other countries, though. Vehicon of Wave 2 was only in Asia and Terrorcon Cliff was cancelled altogether (until his "re-release" as an SDCC exclusive).

Rotf Legends Devastator is great, though the supreme one was a bit of a letdown in terms of articulation and lack of robot modes from what I hear. Looks good though. Armada Side Swipe deserves the hate though, lol. But I'd take him over the abortion that is PRiD Airachnid any day. At least he has reasonable quality, mass and a little mini-con buddy.

i also have RID Airachnid on the way, but she will remain MOC because i have the AM version, whos decals and micron save her from the "Complete Trash" rating and put her dangling on the "Barely Tolerable" rating

Then fold in the car halves in robot mode ;)

Ever handled RotF Scalpel? Don't: his leg sockets break right out of the package.

I still find them to be monkey arms, and rather clunky after that.

They didn't break for me. But he is bad.

In terms of both design and articulation; yes. I do still like him for no good reason, though.

Airachnid is better if you buy a second one and attach the second set of rotors as more spider legs, looks way better.

To me most of the Prime (FE or not) toys I have seen look like crap. I have owned only the deluxes of Prime, Megatron, Ratchet and Arcee. They're OK, but nothing special. They certainly don't make me wanna go out and buy more.

Yes, and oddly enough, he is nowhere near as bad as this one.

First edition cliffjumper was what I was reffering to.

Guess I'm alone in liking Airachnid? Right now the movie figures I own are on my Worst List.

ROTF Scalpel. Wonky leg joints, and totally inaccurate alt mode.

IMO arcee, wheeljack, and soundwave are quality toys. Like you though the rest haven't thrilled me.

On a related note I do like the commander and legion(wish some of thier weapons were better) class figures.

I like her too, and the movie line (well about 90% of them) sucked. Just about every movie fig I bought, I came to regret. If DOTM Megs would have been leader class, then I would have loved that one.

Also, I liked Armada Sideswipe. I really liked how his minicon fit inside of him........giggity...... and the EZ ROTF Devastator wasn't too bad, but definitely a wrong size for a combiner...

I like airachnid. like the over all look in both modes. I also didnt see any of the prime cartoon untill after i had her so not having the spider legs doesnt bother me at all.
