The year is Two Thousand and Something-or-other and the series Transformers Prime is coming to a close. Hasbro is looking for a new Transformers cartoon to air on The Hub and they choose you to make it. How would you do it? Would you keep doing what's been done previously that has proven to be of good success, would you try something completely different; a different target audience perhaps or shuffle up the character roster? Be sure to think it through and sell it otherwise the show will plummet and Transformers sales could plummet.

If I had the gig, I would go the route of GI Joe: Resolute and attempt to get a more mature audience. The Series would be called Transformers: Rise of the Wreckers and would feature the kick-ass team from initial creation through to its glory days of the great civil war on Cybertron. Springer would be the team leader - because no one could take Impactor's colours seriously in animated form. Through the series no mech would be safe - there will be casualties on both sides, including poor civilians caught in the cross-fire. Not every episode would end in a victory, especially the first few when the Decepticons maliciousness needs to be featured. But as time goes on and the band of mechs become a team their winning streak would improve and the Autobot Army would know of The Wreckers.

Cameos would be made by famous characters - Optimus Prime, still in his infancy of command would dish out some assignment and chastise them from time to time; the Dynobots would see the team as competition instead of companions eventually leading to a showdown between Springer and Grimlock over some mission or another.

I'd animate it in 2D animation, which would allow for a greater cast diversity than what has been seen in Prime, and to allow Cybertron to be shown as the great densely-populated planet it was before things went completely to pot.

I would give the Dinobots their own series.

As you said, it would be more towards the PG end of things, with the fighting and stuff like that. No swear words, but some very tense dialogue.

Of course, some other characters would appear, some as cameos, some as recurring supporting characters. But basically, the show would revolve around the Dinobots and their exploits through the Transformers' civil war, from the beginning of the Lightning Strike Coalition in War Within all the way through present day. It would mainly be G1-oriented, with maybe some other influences sprinkled in. But if the series had to be defined, it would be Generation 1.

If Hasbro put me in charge of the next TF series, my first priority would probably NOT be worrying about making the show uber-mature...there'd toys to hawk. And the more they resemble present-day EARTH-bound vehicles, the better, and chances are Hasbro would want Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee and possibly Starscream as their brand anchors yet again.

That having been said, within those constraints I'd probably be compelled to do stuff that would make the fanbase blanche in horror and want my head on a pike.

I think i would a post-war series on earth.

This is all on the top of my head so bare with me. And I might go a little over board so quit reading whenever you feel.

I would open the show up with the first two episodes of how megatron started the Decepticons. And it'd be like 2 or 3 people in it. Then throughout season one, it'd show Megatron building his forces, stealing energon and doing vandalism like in Fight Club as a show of rebellion. While it'd also show the Autobot forces doing like detective work and a few fight scenes with Sentinal Prime as the leader. And eventually at the end, SP would be killed off. I'd make the show detailed too.

Then season 2 would have Optimus Prime being in the middle of a promotion and dealing with the fact that he has to be a leader 'till maybe mid-season. Then it'd be him rounding up already autobot soldiers and a few personal friends he can trust with his life such as Bumblebee, Silverbolt or Ironhide. Megatron would still be up to his antics and building up his forces. But his plans would be like phase 2 and step up the stuff he's doing. Of coarse there would be fights between the Abots and the Dcons with OP and Megs going 1 on 1 sometimes, getting to know each other and becoming swarn enemies.

Season 3 would be that it was just all out war. More and more people join both factions. Certain places would be destroyed. War stuff. But alot of episodes would be back stories too on why people chose this kind of life or they're maybe doing it to prove something to somebody or something. Different things are happening in this place and keep it going through the end of season 3 and throught to the end of season 4. But at the end, that's when they realize that Cybertron's being ravaged by this war and that they need to leave to sustain their own life.

Season 5 would be them landing on another planet, but not Earth. Some technically advance race that have their vehicles or machines that the Cybertronians would take form in to disguise themselves with. Like megatron would order the Decepticons to transform into the planets military vehicles because they were the ones with weapons so they can still destroy things without showing the locals their true selves to make thing look like accidents and stealing energon and sucvh. Eventualy hacking computers to make the locals start wars with each other. The Abots followed the Dcons and tries to stop them of coarse in secrecy.

Eventually the locals would noticed and would quit fighting each other and fight against the Cybertronians. Season 6 would be a war with the locals against the Dcons while the Abots went into hiding because the local race would try to fight against them too not cairing if they were good or not. The Abots are the same type of race the Dcons are so why would the locals trust the Abots even though they said they were trying to stop the Dcons? But while the Abots were in hiding, they were secretly fighting the Dcons to stop their schemes. Sometimes in vehicle form if they had to be in the public for some reason all the way 'till the end of season 6.

Season 7 would be the Dcons have finally lost the war with the locals and eventualy left the planet with the Abots to follow. They would be travelling through space in need to find a planet for energon and they just start to deal with psycological and physical health issues because of the lack of energon. Then they'd eventually land on Earth and do the same thing they've done on that other planet. But on Eart, events would happen that would be a mix of what happened in G1, RiD, Animated and Prime.

As you can see, I'd make a full blown show out of this if Hasbro gave me rights to write a TF show.
