I appreciate the wings on Voyager Classics Megatron. They give a bit more credence to his ability to fly around like the rest of the Decepticons. If I picture a flying formation of Decepticons with Megatron and several seekers, it's much easier to imagine his Voyager Classics bot mode cruising along through the air than his G1 robot or worse yet, a giant Nerf gun. ;)

But then that would make soundwave the only dufus flying with self propulsion ;)

What about Shockwave or the cons that make up Reflector?

Meh, Soundwave could just switch to tape deck mode and hit a ride on the back of Starscream or whomever. I think that's happened at least once in the G1 cartoon, actually.

Also, some food for thought: could Laserbeak still fly though the air carrying Soundwave in alt mode? Something about that seems so wrong...yet so awesome.

Weapon: No Weapon
I like the wings less so for the flight implications and more for the sheer presence, and that's usually why I enjoy a certain excess of kibble on a TF so much, especially when the base bot design is pretty bland like a certain couple of primary TF leaders.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

I'm a killjoy, and proud of it!
don't take that to mean I'm a killjoy just because I can be, though...

another thread revival!

last year i pieced together the 2013 machine wars botcon set (and ive been collecting the original MW figures). i feel the set as a whole was really under-appreciated. not only are the homages amazingly done, but the mold choices were great. specifically, i fell in love the seeker trio.

thundercracker might have the worst luck. he looks pretty plain and flat, but he's sooo true to the source material which i now really appreciate.

starscream has the best luck, probably because he has that fantastic skydive mold. those colors work beautifully, and homage the original amazingly. even that neon green makes sense as the original had missiles of the same color.

skywarp is the middle man. people are probably "meh" about him like TC, but he has more paint apps. again, he is very true to source material. and that mid-teleport deco goin on with the wings is DELICIOUS. come to think of it, has that ever been done on a previous skywarp? this fella is probably my favorite of the trio.

the 2013 botcon set was done so well, that i hope they expand upon it in the future. i would love to see an updated MW optimus prime and megatron. especially since megatron could so easily be done from the recent CW skydive!

ahhh to have dreams
Come on over to my place! Put your feet up, crack a beer, and talk about stuff!
