I searched far and wide for a Disney Elsa doll. She's the best Disney QUEEN to date. Sexy, smart, powerful, and overall awesome. I HAD to have a figure of her. Unfortunately, all my local toy stores had to offer are the old princesses. A shitload of Cinderellas (booooh!) a school of Ariel (meh) a zoo of Braves dolls (ew) and Tangled (cool, but not good enough). The only Frozen merchandise are baby dolls and cosplays for 5yo. Also, those babies are Anna. Only just today did my local Target got some Frozen dolls. Only Anna. She's nice looking and all, but I WANT ELSA. Also, Ebay is way too expensive.

The only good Elsa figure available locally is the Disney Infinity one. Sure, Infinity is a Skylander rip-off but their figures are awesome. However, 13$+taxes for a 3 inch tall statue? Pass. I don't have Disney Infinity and I never will. So, no point to pay extra for the chip gimmick. Still, that Elsa from Infinity is damn good looking.
Pass.
Afew weeks later... Fawk it, I gonna buy Infinity's Elsa. Go to many stores... ALL GONE! No Elsa at all! Everyone had many for sale. Now, all gone! In desperation, I take one last look at the last store... They had one! No sale, of course, but screw it. She's mine! Now she's being awesome below my TV.

Picture related is not mine but just look at her!

I've heard there's a shortage of Frozen stuff because it's so popular. Like Tickle me Elmo popular. I'm looking for a Maleficent figure myself, but I think getting a doll is my best option. Unfortunately I don't know squat about dolls, so I don't know what to look for. I've seen the classic Maleficent at the Disney store, but the sleeves are wrong and the head is gigantic. I'll probably get one from the live action movie once there are a few reviews out and I'll see which one is the best for the price.

Dolls are great, but heres a couple things you wanna watch out for -

Hair glue. Check inside the packaging to see if the hair is like cardboard. If it is - look for another. You can clean the stuff out, but its also a pain.

Never brush the hair. Ever. Most of the time it will result in you losing whatever hairstyle the toy has and it'll just form either a frizzy mess or be impossible to reshape.

At the end of the day, you're still just buying a "G.I Joe" (y'know... the doll sized ones). If you shop with this in mind, you won't go far wrong.

And to be fair of Malificent - her head was always pretty big.

Honestly, there's probably better reviewers out there on the Internet, but I'll give it a shot.

Price: $85 CDN
Review: While I'm certainly no expert in the Power Rangers mythos, I certainly remember being excited at the whole Green Ranger saga when it first aired on Saturday morning TV. At first, it was just the Green Ranger who was pretty cool, although I never could figure out why they felt the need to have the extra golden armour for him. Oh well, it's just another way to separate the character from the regular 5.

On to the toy itself, I find myself kind of disappointed. Not for the figure itself, but because I'm a connoisseur of Tranformers with a growing interest in the Gundam Damashii figures, I find the Dragonzord's maneuverability and possibility somewhat lacking. It stands well though, slightly shorter than the Legacy Megazord and it comes with two sets detachable hands. One set is the finger-cannon pose, while the other features molded, bent fingers for what I suspect is to allow for a less threatening stance, but it really comes off as looking like it's trying to do a Mr. Burns "excellent" pose, but without the poseability to actually allow for it.

The tail contains at least half of this figure's moving parts. There are 6 sections all connected easch via a large ball/socket joint that can hold it in whatever pose you want. It also is as long as the figure is tall. No, that is not a hyperbole. It makes posing the Dragonzord in a standard bookshelf display very difficult.

While I've yet to do so, and I may not bother doing so for a while, he has several aspects which will make him look really good combined with the Legacy Megazord. On the underside of his feet, there's the molded "Z" detailing, and the golden shoulderpads that can merge to form the chest of one of the combined modes are diecast metal. That long tail can collapse in on the joints to form the drill staff, along with the handle accessory that accompanies the figure.

I like the figure overall. Bandai doesn't skimp on figure sculpt. Where I wish they could do more is in the design of the figures to allow for better articulation. In one of the comment threads about this guy on some MMPR board, members were going head over heels over the tail's articulation. While it is nice, I believe that if HasTak released a figure like this in this day and age under the Transformers label, we fans would skin them alive at Botcon.

Yes it's a good display piece. It goes nicely with the Figuarts MMPR rangers that I have. And yes, I'll be getting the Legends Titanus too. If you want, I can get pictures in a little while.

I know there are probably better reviewers, but I like hearing honest opinions from the fans themselves in an unscripted manner :)

And it sounds like the Legacy Dragonzord is a good substitute, but only if you can get the 2010 Megazord (which I skipped on, big mistake) to compliment him. And the price... ouch! but in hindsight, Bandai US seems to have raised the bar since Samurai. I still can't forgive them for making the Apezord non-collapsible for the Gigazord.

If you're gonna do it, get the Legacy version from last year. The die-cast really makes it and will probably support the combined form better than the all plastic 2010 version.

After watching the entire run of Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited for the 3000th time (ok, I'm exaggerating, but still, I've watched them a LOT :P), I decided to look into some of the merch. I couldn't bring myself to start collecting the figures because there's a shitton of them and I simply don't have the space with my massive TF collection, but I did bite the bullet on the Justice League Inkworks trading cards. I got the official Justice League binder, some 3 ring card pages off of Amazon, all 81 of the base cards and most of the promo and chase cards with the remaining ones on their way to me from the bay of 'e'. I even got a 8 1/2"x11" 3 ring page for my binder to hold the promotional pages/ads which I also snagged on ebay.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the cards and my itch for something physical from the DCAU that I can hold in my hands has been satisfied for now.
