Stan Bush - "The Touch" Transformers Music Video
"Restoration" Production Notes
As a kid when Transformers wasn't on the air and well before the DVD boxsets, the only way I could watch the cartoons were a few tapes I had my grandpa recorded for me. There were only about 20 episodes, but I loved them all. One of the tapes included the last portion of the movie from when it was televised around 1988. And it contains the rarely seen "Puppetmaster" Prime with a kid named Tommy along with Stan Bush's "The Touch" music video.
Don't believe me? Why don't you watch? I dug the tape out and was able to transfer it to my computer. So now SEIBERTRON.com is THE place to get an exclusive look at Puppetmaster Prime and "The Touch"!
The bad: the sound quality is poor. You can hear it between Puppetmaster Prime and Tommy. The good: music can be salavaged since I own the soundtrack. Now as you watch the video and listen closely, you'll notice slight "bumps" in the music. It wasn't a simpe process of cut and pasting video and audio. Initially when I did that, the music matched the video but as I went along past the 40 second mark I noticed somewhere it became slightly off track. Stan Bush's mouth wasn't matching the audio from the soundtrack. I figured either the music video itself used a slightly altered version of the song or there might have been a delay in transfering from VHS to the computer. So [we] had to adjust the [video] to mix it right. It's not 100% perfect, but it's as close as [we] can get.
So sit back, relax, and take a glimpse at a very cool video once thought lost in the archives!
