In addition to last week's reveal about the biggest Transformers Collector's Club exclusive figure for the upcoming Pasadena BotCon, the official Twitter account for the event has revealed the jet mode for Scorponok and Olin Zarak - as was expected, given that the figure is a redeco of Energon Scorponok. The image is apparently an in-hand shot with tweaked colours, and it also reveals that the Olin figure cannot fit in the closed cockpit. They also posted a second image, showing Olin outside of the vehicle itself. Check them both out below!

The official BotCon 2014 website has just revealed the next figure in this year's Pirates vs. Knights convention exclusive boxset! Fans have wanted a G1 redeco of the Energon Scorponok mold for years, and that's just what we're getting! Not only that, the figure has been retooled into a true Headmaster. The Headmaster unit, Olin Son of Zarak, is a retool of the Spike Headmaster from the recent Encore Fortress Maximus reissue. Check them out below:

Our 4th reveal for the BotCon 2014 Convention set - PIRATES VS KNIGHTS! This is our BIGGEST reveal yet. Olin, son of Zarak, and rightful heir to the Hive creation known as... SCORPONOK!

For the 30th anniversary we have pulled out all the stops and engineered from an existing mold the first Headmaster toy released in 25 years. Scorponok utilizes an original 1987 Headmaster mold, featuring an all-new cartoon accurate sculpted face, as the character Olin Zarak. To make the Headmaster function work, we also created a new rotating piece located in his chest cavity which, once Zarak is transformed, allows him to become the head of Scorponok in robot mode!

This is the centerpiece of the 2014 convention set. We have in hand samples and we are thrilled at what a remarkable toy he is. We can’t wait for everyone who wants one to get their hands on this amazing figure!

To check out Scorponok, be sure to click the “Con Exclusives” link to the left! We will have the BotCon Brochure and online registration available this month, so stay tuned for more toy reveals, guest announcements and all kinds of information regarding the biggest and best Transformers convention of the year, BotCon 2014!

Transformers News: BotCon 2014 - David Kaye Announced as Special Guest

David’s biggest moment was when he was cast as Predacon Commander Megatron in 1996, in the hugely popular series Beast Wars ("Beasties" in Canada) that would go on to run for three seasons of "the most fun you could ever have!" says David. Thus began an almost twenty year relationship with the "Transformers" franchise, from his role as the Decepticon Megatron from the Armada series, crossing over in 2007 to voice the Heroic Autobot Optimus Prime in "Transformers: Animated", thus becoming the only actor in the history of the franchise to play the lead villain AND the lead hero, to his most recent role as the Insection Hardshell in the award winning series "Transformers: Prime."

Fellow Seibertron.com user Sabrblade has pointed us once more towards the new Facebook page for one of the BotCon set characters, Tornado, who is apparently uploading datalogs about the StarSeekers leading up to show, as reported yesterday. Start reading it below, and keep on reading here or here!

Star Seeker Saboteur Tornado

Aboard the Tidal Wave

Personal Journal – Date index 284.756.13

As we all know, it’s just my nature to be...curious. Being a saboteur, I like to take things apart; I like to figure things out. The Captain speaks of this big bounty that he has planned (“The biggest heist yet!”), and that we will be informed about it when the time is right (i.e. when he’s good and ready.) While I normally don’t have any trouble distracting myself with work, this has got me more curious than usual. The Captain, while normally quite pleasant in his own sadistic way, seems almost… giddy.

I’ve been doing a little digging in the ship's computers. Too easily, really. (They're pirates, aren't they? Surely they know about guarding their loot, even if its digital.) A few nanokliks of effort, and I’ve gained access to the Captain’s Log. Hmm. Disappointing. Some rambling about transwarp that borders on the incoherent – at least for me – but nothing solid about the overall plan. He’s playing it close to the torso plate, as usual. Scrap. Oh well, might as well get something useful out of this. Let's see what he's got to say about the day that Ferak and I joined his crew. It'll be good to know what kind of impressions we made and if the Captain's welcoming smile was actually that...
