Remember the news we brought you about this infamous HASCON name being trademarked? It appears Hasbro remembered the 'bro' part of their name too, and added another name to the bank: Hasbrocon. Once more under the identification of "Organizing and conducting conventions, exhibitions, fan clubs and gatherings for entertainment purposes and in the fields of toys, animation, comic books, fantasy, gaming, popular culture, science fiction, television and film" - do you think this is a step closer to an all-encompassing event, or something different? Leave your opinion in the Energon Pub!

Also, we're looking for more thoughts on a potential Transformers dedicated Collector Club right over here, so make sure to check that out too!

Thanks to Seibertronians Fenrir72 and ScottyP for notifying us about the next (possible) Beast Wars Masterpiece figure: Cheetor! While it seems all but confirmed by Twitter user くろさび@chromless, it should still be taken with a grain of salt until there is more to report. What's being said however, is at a Q&A Beast Wars Panel at Transfest2016 that Cheetor is to be next and that more info will be coming to us June. It might surprise folks that Megatron is not following Optimus Primal, but this could be a sign that Beast Wars may become a mainstay in the Masterpiece line. We hear numerous rumors about upcoming Masterpiece figures (most recently being Inferno teased by TakaraTomy themselves) but Seibertronian ScottyP brought us an update on the most recent one. Tonight we get our first glimpse at a delicious grey proto-type of Masterpiece Inferno, at what is likely the Transformers Fest event in Japan via Twitter user くろさび@chromless. TakaraTomy seems to be sticking with their devotion to cartoon accuracy with the Autobot Firetruck, making him a nice companion piece to upcoming MP-14+ Red Alert. Today in miscellaneous Transformers news, courtesy of fellow Seibertronian Emerje, we have a really intriguing - if still a little sad - piece of information about late music star Prince. His connection to the comics world is known to all, after his collaboration on the Batman film soundtracks, but it seems that our favourite transforming robots may also have been part of potential repertoire.

According to Aux.tv, a whole bunch of unreleased projects by PRince have been uncovered, and among the 99 items, a Transformers-based album has popped up, under the title of Pure Energon, along with new wave/dance band Information Society. That is all there is for now, but we do wonder if the album will ever make it in any form to some sort of release!

Pure Energon — Transformers-themed concept album with the Information Society.

UPDATE: Take this news as even more of a rumour as you would have initially, as the list may in fact be a catch-all piece on popular properties that people would like to see in Prince's vault. Perhaps a fun tidbit, as pointed out by Nerdist site, here.

Thanks to our resident Takara news bringer TFYuki and that Interview with Hayato Sakamoto, we bring to you something that really isn't a tease, but more of an interesting rumor. To date, Takara has avoided straight repaints in their Unite Warriors line, but on the 15th anniversary of the original Robots in Disguise cartoon, it has been brought to our attention that there is a possibility of a Unite Warriors Ruination to come!

Now, we ask that you take this with a few grains of salt seeing as how we didn't get a teaser but more of a heavy implication from some "Happy Birthday" Robots in Disguise pictures posted by TFYuki as well as a mention in the interview with Hayato Sakamoto:

When asked to tell more about how Black Convoy got his Energon Matrix, Sakamoto said that he’s waiting for a Unite Warriors Baldigus release before saying any more about that. I didn’t get to ask if he meant that there is a Unite Warriors Baldigus coming, or if he’s just wanting there to be one.

We have also mirrored the images below for you to look at. Check them out, and let us know what you think in the comments section below. And as always stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your latest Transformers News and Galleries!

While the results of the Paramount writers' room for the Transformers live action movies series came out a fair while ago, we now have - via The Hollywood Reporter - updated news of the even wider, shared Hasbro cinematic universe, featuring the likes of ROM the Spaceknight, Micronauts, GI Joe, MASK and Visionaries. Some seriously big names are involved too, as you can see below - check them out, and head here for the whole piece!

Hasbro’s cinematic universe has assembled its writers room, with a Pulitzer Prize winner, an Eisner-winning comic book author and Marvel Studios scribes among those who will be clacking the keyboard.

Michael Chabon, who wrote the novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay and worked on Spider-Man 2; Brian K. Vaughan, the creator of seminal comic works Y: The Last Man and Saga and showrunner of Under the Dome; and Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel co-writer Nicole Perlman, will help develop a plan for the creation of an interconnected onscreen universe featuring Hasbro’s G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Visionaries, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and ROM brands.

Also in the group are:

► Lindsey Beer, who was just hired to adapt Kingkiller Chronicle for Lionsgate
► Cheo Coker, showrunner of Marvel’s Netflix show Luke Cage
► John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the comedy writing team who penned Spider-Man: Homecoming
► Joe Robert Cole (a writer on People vs. OJ Simpson who is also writing Black Panther for Marvel)
► Jeff Pinkner, who wrote the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower)
► Nicole Riegel (writer behind the Blacklist script Dogfight)
► Geneva Robertson (one of the writers of new Tomb Raider movie project).

Akiva Goldsman, who won an Oscar for A Beautiful Mind, will oversee the writers room on behalf of Hasbro and Paramount as well as serving as executive producer for all of the films. He is already serving in a similar capacity for Hasbro’s Transformers writers room and the new session is meant to build on its successful fruits and established road map.
