We have received a press release regarding the wonderful Children's Museum of Indianapolis exhibit on Transformers: Robots in Disguise, spanning the entirety of the franchise so far, and including some great figures, initiatives and interactive areas for children and children at heart. You can take a look at what Seibertron made of the whole shebang right here and via video here, and head below for an official look at the project!

Inspiring the imagination of kids and adults for generations The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis celebrates 30 years of these heroic robots in TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE, opening March 7, 2015.

“Are you an AUTOBOT or a DECEPTICON?” will be asked of visitors entering this unique intergenerational exhibit through giant TRANSFORMERS masks. Inside, children and families will recognize all their favorite characters — from the evil DECEPTICON leader MEGATRON and his archrival, the wise OPTIMUS PRIME and the AUTOBOT army, to BUMBLEBEE and STARSCREAM. The exhibit will span the universe of the TRANSFORMERS brand, from Generation 1, which debuted in 1984, to the characters from Hasbro’s newest animated series TRANSFORMERS ROBOTS IN DISGUISE – giving every member of the family a chance to share favorite memories.

"TRANSFORMERS prove that ordinary things can become extraordinary with an active imagination and great engineering,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “Just when you thought you were looking at a cool Camaro, you realize that underneath the shell is a giant AUTOBOT with a taste for adventure named BUMBLEBEE. We want families to explore how there really is more to the world than meets the eye and as they learn that together, they will share the joy of puzzle solving and discovery.”

It’s a jet, a car, a dinosaur! It’s a TRANSFORMERS Character!
Since the 1980s, the TRANSFORMERS brand has fascinated children and parents alike with heroic AUTOBOTS and villainous DECEPTICONS. Visitors will be immersed deep inside the universe of the TRANSFORMERS brand viewing rare and collectable toys, comics, memorabilia, film props and more!

Prepare to be transported to the future as the exhibit also features the all new animated series, TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE, set to debut on the Cartoon Network at 6pm EST on March 14th. Visitors will discover all new characters and a fun action-packed storyline in which BUMBLEBEE must return to Earth and lead a rag tag team of AUTOBOTS who must capture a group of DECEPTICONS on the loose.

It’s an exhibit you won’t want to miss!”

Visitors will be amazed by the breadth and depth of this museum exhibit about the universe of the TRANSFORMERS brand, which will feature:

A scale replica of an OPTIMUS PRIME character
A talking 2015 BUMBLEBEE Camaro
Various movie props
Extensive displays of TRANSFORMERS toys
“Become BUMBLEBEE” digital interactive
A large TRANSFORMERS Beast Wars battle scene diorama
Limited engagement display of Transformers: Age of Extinction OPTIMUS PRIME semi-truck
Transformers Rescue Bots preschool play tables

Design studio delights with hands-on experiences as families role play together.
What are the secrets to creating something that can move and contort itself into an entirely different being? Enter the Design Studio within the TRANSFORMERS exhibit and visitors will discover the artistic design and engineering that goes into crafting these beloved characters. They’ll explore how the TRANSFORMERS robots twist and change, and be inspired to use their own imaginations to design, prototype, sculpt and hand-paint their own TRANSFORMERS characters for more exciting stories!

While not strictly Transformers related, this is big news for IDW Publishing, the company that has ensured the survival of transforming robot fiction since 2005, and currently breathing life back into gestalt technology with Combiner Wars! Read on the press release below to find out about the relocation of the IDW headquarters and the opening of the San Diego Comic Art Gallery - soon to showcase some Transformers art too?

IDW Publishing Makes A Big Move
Renowned Publisher Comes To San Diego’s NTC Arts & Culture District

San Diego, CA (February 12, 2015) – IDW Publishing is pleased to announce the relocation of their headquarters due to business expansion, in June 2015, as well as the opening of a groundbreaking new comic art gallery. The new offices and gallery will be located in former Navy barracks within the historic NTC in Liberty Station, which is nestled in the Point Loma community of San Diego.

The San Diego Comic Art Gallery will be a unique, new and dynamic space located within the IDW offices, designed to educate and engage the local San Diego community and the region of Southern California with the sequential comic book and graphic arts. The SDCAG will create a permanent home in San Diego as a showcase for this celebrated art form; already so pervasive in pop culture, thanks to the meteoric success of comic-based films, television and entertainment, and already so associated with the San Diego area, thanks to Comic-Con International. With a retail space, a gallery of original art from comics and animation, and actual working artists on the premises, the SDCAG is an entirely new kind of venture. Harry L. Katz, former Head Curator in the Prints and Photographs Division at the Library of Congress, has been named the curator of SDCAG.

Transformers News: IDW Publishing Moves to New Headquarters, Opens San Diego Comic Art Gallery

Through events, author and artist appearances, art installations and celebrations, the SDCAG will become a destination to worldwide fans of the medium, and cement San Diego’s status as a Capital of the comic arts, while becoming an integral part of the immediate community. The first installation will be an extensive showcase of the work of Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and local San Diego resident.

“We’ve been looking to make a move for a while,” said Ted Adams, CEO & Publisher of IDW, “We’ve been expanding rapidly, and simply have run out of room. At the same time, we’ve been looking for a space that more accurately reflects who we are as a company. When we started talking with the NTC, it became evident immediately that this would be a perfect fit. And with the gallery, we’re going to be able to show the community, and the world, just who IDW is. This move is the perfect next step in the evolution of our company.”

Transformers News: IDW Publishing Moves to New Headquarters, Opens San Diego Comic Art Gallery

“The NTC Foundation welcomes IDW Publishing and their creative team to the NTC Arts & Culture District at Liberty Station,” said NTC Foundation Executive Director Alan Ziter. “Their new San Diego Comic Art Gallery will be a great addition to the numerous art galleries and museums already at NTC and we look forward to the creative collaborations ahead. We anticipate it will be a San Diego landmark destination for comic and animation art lovers from all over the world.”

Moving into a historic building has its unique challenges and is being made possible with the assistance of San Diego local area businesses such as Good & Roberts LLC and obrARCHITECTURE inc. Taking 18,344 square feet, IDW will now be the largest tenant in the already vibrant arts district.

After 15 years as a prominent part of the local business community, IDW Publishing is sure to be a more public presence with the move to NTC. The Grand Opening is scheduled for June 1, 2015. For more information on this event, please contact IDW PR & Marketing Manager, Rosalind Morehead.

Hasbro has just released their 2014 year end financial report, along with their Fourth Quarter and Full-Year 2014 Product Category Performance.

2014 Girls category revenues grew 2% to $1.02 billion. Revenue growth in MY LITTLE PONY, MY LITTLE PONY EQUESTRIA GIRLS, NERF REBELLE and the introduction of PLAY-DOH DOHVINCI offset declines in FURBY.

Preschool category revenues decreased 4% to $510.8 million for the full-year 2014. PLAY-DOH and TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS revenue growth was more than offset by declines in other Preschool initiatives, including core PLAYSKOOL and SESAME STREET products.

Adjusted net earnings for the full-year 2014 were $408.7 million, or $3.15 per diluted share. Adjusted net earnings exclude pre-tax charges of $28.3 million associated with restructuring of the Company's joint venture television network and $5.2 million associated with other restructuring activities which were more than offset by a pre-tax benefit of $36.0 million from the sale of licensed rights for intellectual property and $6.6 million in favorable tax adjustments related to tax exam settlements.

Net earnings for the full-year 2013 include pre-tax charges of $36.7 million associated with restructuring, $7.0 million of related pension costs, $61.1 million associated with the settlement of an adverse arbitration award, $40.6 million of charges related to certain non-strategic brands as well as a $23.6 million favorable tax adjustment. Excluding these items, 2013 adjusted net earnings were $372.4 million, or $2.83 per diluted share.

"2014 was a good year for Hasbro. We grew revenues, profitability and returned significant capital to our shareholders," said Brian Goldner, Hasbro's President and Chief Executive Officer. "These results highlight the power of building innovative brand experiences based firmly in global consumer insights and supported by compelling stories. Investments in our brand blueprint are unlocking value in our brand portfolio and we begin 2015 well positioned to capitalize on our efforts in ‘Creating the World's Best Play Experiences.'"

"The underlying strength of Hasbro's brands and financials enabled us to grow revenues and earnings despite a significant fourth quarter negative impact from foreign exchange," said Deborah Thomas, Hasbro's Chief Financial Officer. "In 2014, foreign exchange had a $93 million negative impact on revenues and approximately a $25 million negative impact on net earnings. Despite this, our focus on profitable growth delivered our highest operating profit margin in recent years, while generating $454 million in operating cash flow. In 2015, we have tremendous brand initiatives and entertainment upon which to capitalize, but anticipate foreign exchange will remain a significant headwind throughout the year."

The Company's actual actions or results may differ materially from those expected or anticipated in the forward-looking statements due to both known and unknown risks and uncertainties. Specific factors that might cause such a difference include, but are not limited to: (i) the Company's ability to design, develop, produce, manufacture, source and ship products on a timely and cost-effective basis, as well as interest in and purchase of those products by retail customers and consumers in quantities and at prices that will be sufficient to profitably recover the Company's costs; (ii) downturns in economic conditions affecting the Company's markets which can negatively impact the Company's retail customers and consumers, and which can result in lower employment levels, lower consumer disposable income and spending, including lower spending on purchases of the Company's products; (iii) other factors which can lower discretionary consumer spending, such as higher costs for fuel and food, drops in the value of homes or other consumer assets, and high levels of consumer debt; (iv) potential difficulties or delays the Company may experience in implementing cost savings and efficiency enhancing initiatives; (v) other economic and public health conditions or regulatory changes in the markets in which the Company and its customers and suppliers operate which could create delays or increase the Company's costs, such as higher commodity prices, labor costs or transportation costs, or outbreaks of disease; (vi) currency fluctuations, including movements in foreign exchange rates, which can lower the Company's net revenues and earnings, and significantly impact the Company's costs; (vii) the concentration of the Company's customers, potentially increasing the negative impact to the Company of difficulties experienced by any of the Company's customers or changes in their purchasing or selling patterns; (viii) consumer interest in and acceptance of the Discovery Family Channel, and programming created by Hasbro Studios, and other factors impacting the financial performance of the network and Hasbro Studios; (ix) the inventory policies of the Company's retail customers, including retailers' potential decisions to lower their inventories, even if it results in lost sales, as well as the concentration of the Company's revenues in the second half and fourth quarter of the year, which coupled with reliance by retailers on quick response inventory management techniques increases the risk of underproduction of popular items, overproduction of less popular items and failure to achieve compressed shipping schedules; (x) delays, increased costs or difficulties associated with any of our or our partners' planned digital applications or media initiatives; (xi) work disruptions, which may impact the Company's ability to manufacture or deliver product in a timely and cost-effective manner; (xii) the bankruptcy or other lack of success of one of the Company's significant retailers which could negatively impact the Company's revenues or bad debt exposure; (xiii) the impact of competition on revenues, margins and other aspects of the Company's business, including the ability to offer Company products which consumers choose to buy instead of competitive products, the ability to secure, maintain and renew popular licenses and the ability to attract and retain talented employees; (xiv) concentration of manufacturing for many of the Company's products in the People's Republic of China and the associated impact to the Company of social, economic or public health conditions and other factors affecting China, the movement of products into and out of China, the cost of producing products in China and exporting them to other countries; (xv) the risk of product recalls or product liability suits and costs associated with product safety regulations; (xvi) the impact of other market conditions, third party actions or approvals and competition which could reduce demand for the Company's products or delay or increase the cost of implementation of the Company's programs or alter the Company's actions and reduce actual results; (xvii) the impact of litigation or arbitration decisions or settlement actions; and (xviii) other risks and uncertainties as may be detailed from time to time in the Company's public announcements and Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") filings. The Company undertakes no obligation to make any revisions to the forward-looking statements contained in this release or to update them to reflect events or circumstances occurring after the date of this release.

This press release includes a non-GAAP financial measure as defined under SEC rules, specifically EBITDA. EBITDA represents net earnings attributable to Hasbro, Inc. excluding net loss attributable to noncontrolling interests, interest expense, income taxes, depreciation and amortization. As required by SEC rules, we have provided reconciliation on the attached schedule of this measure to the most directly comparable GAAP measure. Management believes that EBITDA is one of the appropriate measures for evaluating the operating performance of the Company because it reflects the resources available for strategic opportunities including, among others, to invest in the business, strengthen the balance sheet, and make strategic acquisitions. However, this measure should be considered in addition to, not as a substitute for, or superior to, net earnings or other measures of financial performance prepared in accordance with GAAP as more fully discussed in the Company's financial statements and filings with the SEC. As used herein, "GAAP" refers to accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.

The press release also includes the Company's costs and expenses, operating profit, net earnings and diluted earnings per share excluding the impact of charges related to the restructuring of the Company's investment in the Hub Network joint venture in 2014, charges related to restructuring activities in both 2014 and 2013, restructuring related pension charges in 2013, product-related charges in 2013 from brands which the Company exited or have reduced expectations, charges related to the settlement of an adverse arbitration award in 2013, a gain on sale of intellectual property license rights in 2014, and certain favorable tax adjustments in both 2014 and 2013 related to the settlement of tax examinations. Management believes that presenting this data excluding these charges, benefits and tax adjustments assists investors in understanding the performance of the Company's underlying business and the results of operations.

Just in from IDW Publishing is the following press release, confirming that their licensed links to Hasbro properties, such as our own Transformers titles, are not only going strong, but seem to be continuing to do so for a long time still! Take a read below, as the two companies celebrate ten years of partnership - and remember how it all started with the transforming robots, back in 2005..

IDW And Hasbro Celebrate 10 Years By
Extending Their relationship

San Diego, CA (February 9, 2015) – This year marks the Tenth anniversary of IDW Publishing and Hasbro being in business together, a relationship that began in 2005 with the publication of IDW’s first TRANSFORMERS title. To celebrate a decade of creativity, innovation, and success, the two companies are announcing the extension of their blockbuster relationship.

Once TRANSFORMERS was established as an immediate success, IDW expanded its comic line to include the Hasbro property G.I. JOE, then eventually the smash-hit MY LITTLE PONY and coming this March, JEM & THE HOLOGRAMS! IDW will also continue to publish the LITTLEST PET SHOP and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS comics. These titles have become perennial staples at IDW, and will continue to play key roles in IDW’s publishing slate going forward, in all existing formats, both print and digital. Fans of the line can expect much more of the quality products they’ve come to expect: Comics, Trade Paperbacks, Hardcovers, Micro Comic Fun Packs, IDW Limited collections, and more.

“At this point, I almost feel I’ve run out of superlatives for Hasbro. They remain an absolutely fantastic collaborator on every level,” said IDW CEO & Publisher, Ted Adams. “After ten years in business together, it’s clear what a huge part of our success Hasbro has been, and what an appropriate time this is to solidify our relationship well into the future.”

2014 was full of hits that captivated fans and critics alike. From the hit TRANSFORMERS event Dark Cybertron, to the celebratory 25th issue of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, readers were treated to some truly monumental stories. The critically acclaimed TRANSFORMERS vs G.I. JOE, series found itself among 8 “Best Of” lists for 2014, with VICE Magazine proclaiming, “If you were a child in the ‘80s and remember playing with these toys, this comic will work for you on that level. If you appreciate some of the most beautiful drawings currently being published in a comic book, then this can work for you on that level, too.”

“IDW embodies all of the great qualities Hasbro looks for in a publisher, and we share common values,” said Michael Kelly, Hasbro’s Director of Global Publishing. “With IDW, we know we can count on superb storytelling, innovative distribution strategies, and bold thinking. We’ve come a long way together in ten years, but this is only the beginning.”

Announced recently by Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. the fan-favorite series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was voted the Best All-Ages Series and earned the coveted Diamond Gem award for 2014! This marks the second Diamond Gem award earned by the series, the previous being Best Licensed TP/HC in 2013.

With an extension on most licenses and formats moving into the future, it’s clear that 2015 is only the beginning for IDW and Hasbro.

Courtesy of IDW Publishing, and their official Facebook page, we get the official press release for the soon to be unleashed Transformers comics event Combiner Wars! Spanning across The Transformers and returning series Windblade, the story will also weave in with Hasbro's Generations toy line. Find out more below, including some cover artwork from Casey Coller and Joana Lafuente!

An All-Out Arms Race Takes Hold Of Cybertron!
The Combiner Wars Loom…

San Diego, CA (February 5, 2015) – The biggest TRANSFORMERS publishing event of the year kicks off this March when Cybertron becomes the battleground for the COMBINER WARS! An all-star creative team is bringing along fan-favorite characters and all-new dangers to this battle royale that will shake both factions to their core.

The “Opening Salvo” is fired in TRANSFORMERS #39, and the war begins in earnest in the debut issue of the brand-new WINDBLADE series from the acclaimed creative team of Mairghread Scott and Sarah Stone. The shaky peace between the Autobots and Decepticons is threatened when Cybertron’s leader, Starscream, stands against Optimus Prime and raises an unstoppable army of Combiners, threatening Windblade’s long-lost homeworld..

“We're blowing the TRANSFORMERS universe wide open with this series: showcasing new characters and new worlds in a battle with some of the biggest 'bots you've ever seen,” said WINDBLADE writer, Scott. “Anyone who thinks they know what to expect from a Transformers event will have to think again.”

The ongoing TRANSFORMERS series written by John Barber welcomes PRIMACY artist Livio Ramondelli on to the series for this epic arc. “From day one of this series,” says Barber, “we’ve been seeding the mystery and power of Combiners—multiple Cybertronians who form together into bigger, more powerful wholes. Starscream realizes he needs one of his own to protect Cybertron… but why stop at one Combiner—or one world?”

The arms-race of Combiners will bring fan-favorite TRANSFORMERS characters to the pages of IDW comics for the first time ever—and introduce a new Combiner guaranteed to melt the internet. Featuring standard covers by Casey W. Coller and subscription covers by Ramondelli, the epic COMBINER WARS event will be an integral part of Hasbro’s 2015 TRANSFORMERS: GENERATIONS COMBINER WARS toy line, reaching a massive fan-base and will be supported across multi-media platforms.

If retailers order 250 copies each of TRANSFORMERS #39 and TRANSFORMERS: WINDBLADE #1, they’ll get two special covers by Travis Sengaus depicting that retailer’s store being protected by Superion (on TRANSFORMERS #39) and destroyed by Devastator (on TRANSFORMERS: WINDBLADE #1). And best of all… those two covers COMBINE into one mega-image!
