Tuesday the 6th of January 2009 sees the DVD release of the complete second season of Transformers: Animated.

Unlike the first season collection, the second season collection features every episode of the second season, and if the listings on Amazon and Walmart are a good indicator of market price, the Transformers: Animated season 2 collection should retail in the vicinity of US$20.

The Transformers: Animated season 2 collection features two episode commentaries on the episodes ""Mission Accomplished" and "Garbage In, Garbage Out", as well as a photo Gallery and two animated shorts, the first of which we reported on earlier.

Yahoo.com has a short glimpse of what is to be expected of the bonus content of the Transformers Animated Season 2 DVD box.
It's title is "Mocking Megatron" in it Starscream mocks Megatron while he gives his summoning speech to his Decepticon troops.

-'Disciples of Boltax' Blog- Writer, collector, and friend of Seibertron.com, Jim Sorenson stopped in to share this week's G1 animation model sheet that was not a part of his earlier creations: the Ark I, or Ark II collections.

This week, Jim updates his blog with Pretender Dauros' weapons. Dauros, for those unfamiliar, is the Japanese namesake of Pretender Skullgrin.

The animation sheet shows Dauros in and out of his Pretender shell, and as well as, various angles and combinations of him holding his weapons and his weapons separate.

"Here is a taste of what might have been if we'd had 256 pages to play with instead of 208. There's plenty more where this came from, too! Let me know which weapons you're most interested in seeing and I'll try to get to them sooner rather than later."

Another contest has popped up for a Transformers related DVD set recently and Seibertron.com is here to give you the goods on how to enter.

Quick Stop Entertainment has just posted the new contest, in conjunction with Paramount Home Video, offering five (5) copies of Transformers Animated Season 2 on DVD as the prize.



To enter, simply fill out the entry form that you can find here. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter, one entry per day, per person is permitted and all submitted entries must be received by 11:59pm EST on Monday, January 26th 2009.

No restrictions were posted as to where you need to be globally to enter.

Again, TF08.net brings us new images of upcoming and sought after figures. This time we see a couple of loose Transformers Animated Shockwave repaints. These are due out some time in the second qtr. of 09 as a two pack Target Exclusive along side a TFA Activators figure, much like we've seen with TFA Sunstorm.

To many fans this is how Shockwave should have looked like from the get go!

RBA Italia will be releasing the complete G1 cartoon show on DVD. This release is significantly different from the Box sets that were reported earlier as this release is for the so called "edicolas" which are news-stands.
Each volume will come with a DVD containing 2 episodes and a booklet.
