Zippo of Transformersnewzealand.com has reported some interesting news about Transformers DVDs in New Zealand. It appears that Warehouse Stores in New Zealand are now stocking Transformers DVDs produced by Maverick. Here is what Zippo reported:

"Looked around the Warehouse today for the first time in 3 weeks and spotted among the lower shelfs of the DVD racks a few Transformer DVDs.

UK Released, region 2 (so you need a multizoned player) Maverick released Volumes 1.1, 1.3, Gen 2 and Takara as well as the Gi Joe Movie (with extras) for $10 each. Maverick had the licence for the Transformers series before Metrodome did.

The Takara disk is the first few episodes of the Headmasters series, but with those horrible Star TVC dubs from Singapore/Hong Kong from the early 1990s. "

Adrian James - Das Gift

Das Gift is the brainchild of musician and recording artist Adrian James. He has performed with a host of bands, probably most notably as violinist and designer for Evanescence. Now he embarks on his own dark solo project called Das Gift. The CD is a 14-year studio endeavor with bilingual lyrics and eclectic instrumentation, including piano, guitar, electric mandocello, violin - all layered with pounding drums and smooth vocals.

Adrian is currently in the studio recording a special limited-edition acoustic cd exclusively for Botcon. No stranger to the convention, Adrian is a long-standing transformer fan and collector.

Car Manufacturer Chrysler have begun to air a new radio advert in the Netherlands for their new Grand Voyager featuring a 'take off' of the orignial G1 Transformers 'More than Meets the Eye' theme tune!

As part of their advertising campaign for the Grand Voyager Chrysler are marketing the car as able to "easily "transform" into storage space. From MPV to van in a flash!". The theme has been rerecorded in dutch with new lyrics referring to the car and its features but it is clearly the Transformers theme tune and even features the classic G1 transformation sound!

Thanks to Jasper we can both hear the advert and read a translation of the lyrics below:

Grand Voyager

Seats in the floor

From MPV to van, transformed in a flash (transform sound)

The Grand Voyager

(voice: discover the new unique "stow and go" system at the Chrysler dealer. Cause seeing is believing. Chrysler. Inspiration comes standard)
