It seems the end of the Writers Guild strikes may not mean smooth sailing for the sequel of the 2007
Transformers Movie, for fears of a potential Screen Actors Guild strike, that may happen this summer, also threatens to delay the film's production, along with many other films and television series.
Variety.com has posted an article discussing the potential of another strike, and
Transformers Movie director Michael Bay chimed in:

"You hope for the best, but you can't be incapacitated by the possibility that there will be a strike," Bay said. "We've got to get this town back to work. I can't imagine anyone wants another strike, we're all tired. Hopefully clearer heads will prevail."
Bay said that the sequel is still recovering from the writers strike, and that he's playing catch-up after getting back his trio of writers, Ehren Kruger, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
"They did a detailed outline before the writer's strike, and now they are in Michael Bay jail, holed up in a hotel and working feverishly," Bay said. "We're paying for a beautiful suite and they are getting a lot of work done. Hiring three writers was unusual, but it has been a godsend in getting us to where we need to be. Somehow you find a way to get it done."

Counterpunch has been doing some digging into this rumor. He says...
"Er, hate to break it here like this...
I spoke to the Fun Pub reps this morning.
Primus Packages are indeed SOLD OUT. Gone.
There is supposedly an update coming at the end of the week to provide, 'Alternative Options'. I got no explaination to what that means, but the response was in answer to my question of 'Will there be more sets available?'
This is an update to yesterday's rumor, and seeming confirmation because it matches the information there as well. It will be interesting to see what options the club will come up with. Perhaps more will be made, and will be shipped at a later date?
You can join in the discussion already occuring
here, and if you plan on attending and want to know what the options will be, check back at the end of the week, when the
Botcon website should be updated officially!

There is a rumor floating around the Official Transformers Collector's Club Member Forums that all the
Botcon sets are sold out, or will be sold out this week!
At this time there is no confirmation from club officials and no official posting on the club site, but this looks to be a very good possibility.
If this is something that could effect you, you might want to get that order form in as soon as you can, or face the possibility of having to pick any of these exclusives that you want off Ebay.

here to discuss this further.

What can be said, but transforming diecast, realistic cars are not going to stay dead if Takara has anything to say about it.
Nekoman reports that he has found pictures of Takara Exclusive Binaltech repaints for BT-19 Bluestreak and BT-20 Movie Colors Jazz. These are repaints of the Smokescreen and Meister molds, respectively, and can be viewed below, or in Nekoman's thread. The expected release date is June 26th, 2008. The price, a hefty, 5,000 yen, at retail.
You can join the already existing discussion
here in Nekoman's thread.
Does this mean we might see more Binaltech and Alternators in the future? Nobody's sure, but it does seem to make it a whole lot more likely!

Seibertron's own clrobe has found an interesting tidbit from "All Hail Megatron" author
Shane McCarthy over on the
IDW Publishing Boards concerning the upcoming "All Hail Megatron" series.
Be warned as there are some potential minor spoilers.
I thought I'd drop by and say hello. 'Focus On' is due to hit the shelves soon and it's great to see everyone getting excited about 'All Hail'. I'm a big TF fan myself and if you guys have half the fun reading it as I'm having writing it you won't have anything to worry about.
Anyway, I'm not one for spilling the beans completely (we buy comics for a reason, I like my surprises on the pages) but I wanted to at least drop a hint or two your way since being supporters of these boards should come with some perks right?
Hints:
1) Yes, it's 'in continuity'.
2) No, it's not a 'world without Autobots' (that was a misquote from a television interview I did)
3) F-15s? Hell yes.
So what does this mean for the current IDW Universe? Feel free to discuss your thoughts and theories in our
IDW-Verse Thoughts and Theories thread.

According to
CNN.com, it would appear that HD-DVD is finished, with Toshiba stating that it would:
cease developing, manufacturing, and marketing HD DVDs after "recent major changes in the market." It promised to continue offering support and service for all existing Toshiba HD DVD products.
This comes on the back of news that Warner Brothers Home Entertainment announced that they would only be releasing DVD's in Blu Ray form, and Walmart announcing their support of only Blu-Ray DVD's.
Meanwhile,
engadgethd.com have posted a very blurry image of what appears to be a listing for the 2 disc edition of the
Transformers Movie on Blu Ray in Circuit City internal Database. Since the release has not been confirmed by Dreamworks or Paramount, it can only be assumed as a rumour.
You can check out the image below, or at the
engadgethd.com website.
