A fan in Hong Kong has apparently snagged some repainted RiD Decepticons. They are painted in ´arctic camo´ colors. The fan says that the store he aquired them from gets test shots like this fairly often. Hopefully I´ll have some pics up soon. These may just be more knockoffs, but the pictures do show them with Decepticon logo on them.

Straight from
Newsarama: "So, you think that December’s Transformers Profiles Book I is just your run of the mill encyclopedia in the same format as dozens of other “encyclopedia†books? Wrong. Simply put, the four volumes of Transformers Profiles will officially establish a new continuity for the Transformers, free of key points that were specific to the animated series, the Marvel series, and the movie. When all is said and done, Dreamwave will have its own, independent Transformers continuity."

Several sources, including
Professor Smooth´s Rumors Page and other TF websites, are reporting that the Beast Machines Dinobots (repaints from the US and Japanese Beast Wars toy lines) might have life breathed into their molds once more - this time as repaints in the Robots In Disguise carry over line. Stay tuned for further details ...

It seems that Hasbro has once again decided to dump some repaints on the unsuspecting public. Much like Storm Jet, they´re taking some Beast Machines shelf-warmers, giving ´em a new color-scheme, and sticking them in RiD packaging. Chances are, these will be exclusive to a chain of stores, but there´s no word yet on what chain this may be.
On a side note, if Hasbro doesn´t give these things G1 DINOBOT names, you can exect some lively conversation at the ENERGON PUB located RIGHT HERE @ SEIBERTRON.com
All the credit in the world to TFormers.com for this rumor.

According to AMAZON.com, several Transformers books are on the horizon. One such book, written by
Scott Ciencin, appears to be an actual graphic novel, and is titled
Transformers Book 1. Given
Scott´s other credits (such as "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", Star Trek, and Jurassic Park) it appears this will be a novel and not a trade paperback. Other TF books in the near horizon:
Transformers Armada: The Battle Begins,
Ultimate Transformers Armada,
Ultimate Transformers Classic, and
Transformers Armada: Race for the Mini-Cons
. I imagine the "ultimate" books will be for teenagers and up and the other books will be intended for younger children (ages 4-8). Apparently these books will be published in May 2003. More info as it becomes available ...
