The nominees for the 80th annual Academy Awards were announced this morning, and this past summer's Transformers Movie has been nominated for not one, not two, but THREE Oscars. They are:

It's been reported that this year's Dairycon PreReg exclusive will be

According to source Mei Morishita's blog, the Winter Wonder Festival 2008 takes place on February 24th and this exclusive toy will be made available for purchase at the TakaraTomy booth. There are going to be a limited number of pieces and price is still TBD.
The MegaCon Comicbooks convention will be held on March 7th through the 9th in Orlando, FL. Variety has announced that the 2007 Transformers movie is still in the running for an Oscar Award in the catagory of Visual Special Effects. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will determine the final 3 nominations for the award on January 16th. The competition for Transformers are, The Bourne Ultimatum, Evan Almighty, The Golden Compass, I Am Legend, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and 300.
