Cybercon Expo 2005 is only one week away! The show will take place on
July 29th and 30th 2005 in the heart of New York City (2nd Ave and 35th
Streets). On top of a kick butt line up of guests, panels, and
attractions, Cybercon Expo has updated with even more additions to the
show. Check out the new additions below.

For a full listing of events and attractions, schedule of events, news,
and more check out the new front page of CYBERCONEXPO.COM

Peter Cullen - "The Voice of the Original Optimus Prime"
Peter Cullen is currently one of Hollywood's lead voice actors, doing
work for Warner Brothers, TNT, Cartoon Network, and countless movie
promotions. To fans of the 80's, his deep baritone voice rings a bell as
the one behind their childhood hero, one of Pop Culture's most prolific
icons, Optimus Prime. At Cybercon Expo, fans in the New York and
mid-Atlantic region will be able to meet Mr. Cullen and obtain his
autograph for the first time. Peter Cullen has only made 2 other public
appearances related to his voice-over character work in the last 8
years, once at Botcon 1997 in Rochester NY, and once at Botcon 2004 in
Los Angeles. This will be Mr. Cullen's first time on the East Coast
since the retro-rebirth of the original Transformers. Don't miss what
could be your last chance to meet this Transformers legend!

Peter Cullen will be signing a total of 500 autographs all weekend. 250
have already been sold online. 250 will be available for sale at the
show, starting at 2 PM Friday. First come first serve. Peter Cullen will
also be participating in an interactive Question and Answer Fan Panel on
Saturday.

Botcon Convention Exclusives Unveiled!
Hasbro's Official Transformers Collectors Club and Convention will be in
attendance at Cybercon Expo 2005. At their tables, representatives will
have on display several of the upcoming exclusives available at the
September convention for the first time in public. The already released
Buzzclaw will be there, along with what we are told is a "friend". Make
sure to head over to the show to get your sneak peak at what are soon to
become collector's favorites for years to come!

Pre-Release Copies of previously unproduced Dreamwave Books for sale!
Destination Entertainment has acquired the rights from Hasbro to
distribute some of the last books printed by Dreamwave Productions, ones
that were never released to the public. These books currently include
the Pocket Sized versions of Transformers Energon Volume 2, and a black
and white version of Transformers Vs. G.I. Joe Volume 1.
Destination Entertainment will be in attendance at Cybercon Expo 2005,
and have an extremely limited amount of these books available for sale -
for the first time ever - before hitting the mass market via Diamond
Comic Distributers later in the year. Remember, Alex Milne, the artist
for many Transformers Energon issues will be in attendance as well, so
you can get your newly purchased copies signed right there at the show.

Signed Comics and Art from Wildfur!
Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman sign items for show!

Wildman War Within Volume 2 Original Art Pages available for sale for
first time in USA at show!

Panel Topic - Unused Histories of the G1 Transformers Revealed!
The untold origins of over half of the Classic G1 Transformers are
revealed at last, in this panel discussion by original Transformers
Profiles / More Than Meets the Eye co-writer, Marc Patten of Destination
Entertainment. Learn the real story behind the Dreamwave comic series
that was supposed to streamline the modern Hasbro G1 Transformers
continuity and reveal the untold origins and backstories of 400+
characters - but never did! From combiner groups to micromasters, the
secrets can now be told! Find out why the history that was to be the new
bible for Hasbro ended up on the chopping block, and the answers to
questions fans wondered about for years like, did Transformers have
families, who created Devastator? How are Megatron and Galvatron
connected, and much more! Copies of the unused profiles text (almost 200
characters) will be given out to the first 25 participants!

Parts Party by Rugby's Battle Starbase!
On Friday night from 10-11 PM, Rugby's Battlestar Base will be hosting a
Parts Trading Party in a side room at the expo center. All attendees are
welcome to attend and bring their parts and lots to trade away with
other fans!

Todd McFarlane's Spawn.com has donated a very large case of various
McFarlane toys to give away to the fans. Cybercon Expo will be giving
away special multi packs of McFarlane figures to attendees throughout
the weekend!

I just received this email from the crew at Master Collector who is running BOTCON 2005. I thought I would share it with the rest of the fandom to keep the information wheel a turnin'!

Hello Ryan Yzquierdo!

Last week we sent out a mailing of over 6,000 BotCon brochures. We used the old BotCon list and the current membership list for this. So if you get two of these, don't worry. If one goes to an old address, don't worry we have not changed your address in the system. If you have already registered, don't worry.

We will start sending out confirmation letters next week.

I am still waiting on the guests to get back to me to confirm their attendance.

Oh, yes we have put the fist pictues up. Buzzclaw as you have never seen him before! Check it out at botcon.com

Please remember that the colors you see will be different than what the figure is in person as photo lighting and monitor colors vary over a wide range. The wings are red if that helps. Also some of these decos/colors may still change as this is a prototype.

We have ordered more Alternators for the store which SHOULD be here by the end of next week.

Thanks for your support,
Brian

You can view all of the images BOTCON has unveiled of the exclusive BUZZCLAW figure here.

Please feel free to discuss this at the Energon Pub!

The Buzz Index at the popular search engine Yahoo.com is reporting an 126 percent increase in users searching for the word "Transformers", no doubt due to the increased publicity of the live action movie due to hit theatres in 2007 at the San Diego Comic-Con. They have also posted a "Toon Throwdown" in which they compare the movie to the recently announced "Smurfs" movie, which you can read by clicking here.
