Den Patrick, Assistant Editor for the Titan Transformers UK, updates his blog discussing issues related to the new UK Transformers ANIMATED comic, and the Transformers Animated idea in general.

:
Presumably Hasbro have created the television show to keep the new generation of fans sated after the Transformers 2007 film, and to keep the fanboys bitching until the sequel – Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Transformers Animated has been on NickToons since March this year, and is rumoured to be available on a terrestrial channel in the UK in the New Year.

The ‘bots have been given a American anime makeover to appeal to their audiences – in this case 5 – 10 year old boys. However, the ‘everyman’ of the show is in fact a little girl called Sari Samdaq, who just happens to have one of those fiendishly gifted inventor fathers...

You can read the entire blog here.

And here's the link to Titan's Transformers Animated comics webpage. The first issue is due out on October 23rd.

These are some of those stories. This is:

It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted.
These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love.
No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

Transformers Comic scribe Simon Furman has once again updated his blog, with information pertaining to the follow on Saga to his Titan UK Story "Twilight’s Last Gleaming", which was set in an alternate Movie Universe where the Decepticons had been victorious in the Battle of Mission City.

The new 4 part series "Return to Cybertron" will follow on in the alternate universe, kicking off in TF UK #17, with Jon Davis-Hunt on art duties, and will follow the exploits of the Movie Autobots, including Evac, who will make his Comic debut in issue #17.

For more details (including some potential spoilers), as well as a sneak peek at the lineart from Jon Davis-Hunt, please click here.

TF UK #17 will be released on October 9th 2008, but fret not those outside the UK, chances are that IDW will reprint this UK only story, as they have already done with the "Saga of the Allspark" Comics.

:
Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you all know that long time Marvel artist Herb Trimpe will be attending the Baltimore Comicon on September 27 & 28 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Please come and say hi, get some books signed, and if you have some extra money and would like a sketch, Herb would be happy to oblige.

If you can't make it to Baltimore, Herb is available for commissions and recreations. Just visit www.comicbok-art.com for the price list. (You can also find info on Marvel Transformers writer Bob Budiansky there as well.)

We also have the original artwork to the cover of issue #2 of the Transformers/GI Joe mini-series there for sale as well.

Thanks!
