Ricky Claydon, the brand manager for Titan Magazine, e-mailed Seibertron.com to let us know that issue #1 of the UK exclusive comic book is being released today!

This series consists of 4 weekly 52 page comics and it is going to reunite some of the biggest names in the business.

Quote from Steve White, editor, Transformers Comic:
"It's been great working on the launch issue, which has gone amazingly well.
We managed to pull together a great classic team from the Transformers comic
past and bring it bang up to date by immersing it in mythos of the new movie
- and bring in a whole new generation of fans!"

Our own clrobe as informed us that IDW solicitations for October have been released at Comics Continuum. Here is the list of Transformers titles that will be coming out in September:

TRANSFORMERS: BEAST WARS: THE ASCENDING #3

Written by Simon Furman, art by Don Figueroa, covers by Figueroa and Nick Roche.

With the crisis on Cybertron escalating to fever pitch, it falls to The Pack and the earthbound Maximals and Predacons to prevent its descent into chaos and, ultimately, its utter destruction. Too bad then that Razorbeast, now infected with the Angolmois corruption, is Hell-bent on killing them all! IDW has released their official signing shedule for San Diego Comic-Con 2007. The Transformers signing is scheduled for Saturday, July 28 from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm. Here is the list of people who will be there:

Don Figueroa (Transformers Movie Prequel, Beast Wars)
Simon Furman (Transformers: Escalation, Transformers Movie Prequel, Beast Wars)
Eric Holmes (Megatron Origin)
Alex Milne (Transformers Movie Adaptation, Megatron Origin)

We have received word from Transfans.net about an interview with former Transformers artist Staz Johnson. Here is what they passed along to us:

"Stewart "Staz" Johnson was a late addition to the legendary Transformers UK art team. Joining not longer after the controversial switch to black and white strips, his debut was in issue 236's Matrix Quest prequel 'Deathbringer Part 2'. Staz went on to be one of the comic's most prolific interior artists, his work extending to a string of memorable covers that did much to forge the visual identity of Transformers UK in its latter years. Afterwards he had much success with The Big Two, drawing some of the most recognised comic characters in the world, but he's still found time to reminisce with us about his days with the robots in disguise..."

Marvel comics have released their solicitations for the month of October. Among the solicitations for October is the New Avengers/Transformers: Man and Machine Issue #4. Here is the teaser for the solicitation:

We have received word from Titan Magazines about a signing that has not yet been announced officially. We were told the following:

"To celebrate the launch of Transformers comic, a special Transformers Comic signing is taking place on Saturday 1st September at the London Film and Comic Convention.

All I can tell you at this stage is attending the signing so far will be writer Simon Furman, artist Geoff Senior and editor Steve White. The Transformers Camaro (Bumblebee) as seen in the new movie will be on display as well."
