As usual, Josh's artwork for Transformers the live action move looks more like a screen capture than art.

According to Chris Mowry's post that we reported here, the Alliance story arc takes place immediately after the end of the first movie, during the Reign of Starscream arc, right up to the beginning of Revenge of the Fallen.

Jim Sorenson sent a message to us earlier today to let us know about his upcoming IDW project titled "The AllSpark Almanac". You can read Jim's new blog at http://boltax.blogspot.com/. This book can be pre-ordered through Amazon.ca.

Here's what Jim said in his blog today about this project:

"I just got permission from my editor, the always snazzy Denton Tipton, to reveal my next IDW project. Bill Forster and I will be collaborating once again to bring you The AllSpark Almanac, a 208 page volume covering Transformers: Animated.

"This volume will be substantially different than the two Ark books. First of all, the volume will be in glorious full COLOR! (That's 'colour', for my British readers.) Secondly, while character models are still a very important part of the book, the scope is much broader. We'll be including character biographies, episode summaries and more. And perhaps the most important difference of all, while the Ark books were a result of research and archival and restoration, this book is being written with the full cooperation of the current production staff. Marty Isenberg and friend of this blog Derrick Wyatt have both been lending their efforts to make sure that this is as accurate and complete as possible.

"The cover is from Marcello Matere and looks amazing. I look forward to telling you more as we get closer to the release date.

"(A quick note - I know Amazon says that it will be 256 pages. We're correcting this. Don't worry, we'll somehow manage to pack 250 pages worth of material into our 208 pages.)"

Titan Magazine's Den Patrick has done an update to his personal blog You Look Like A Little Kid With A Beard and talks about what he's been doing in the comic world as of late.

In the blog, he gives us an update on his Transformers Animated freelance work. Apparently, he's making a type of game that will come out in installments, possibly over two or four issues of Titan Magazine. Here's what he had to share:

I’ve just had more freelance work accepted for Transformers Animated.
I’ve knocked up a little ‘brawling robots’ game, with dice and rules and things! The first part is Optimus Prime vs. Megatron, round two is Prowl vs. Starscream! Go Prowl! These will be in issues #3 and #4 respectively. Props to Danny Preston, the designer: for bringing his unique skills to my simple wordsmithery.

The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

Transformers Animated guru Derrick Wyatt has done an update to his personal blog, A Delightful Tedium with a look at the character sheet he designed for TF Animated's first comic book, The Arrival. Here's what he had to share about it:

I really jumped at the chance to draw [The Wraith] because Marty has had the idea for this character right from the get go of our show. It was also fun just to get to do an old school HB-esque super hero.

{L_IMAGE}

Check out the complete post here.

Derrick also posted that Transformers artist Jim Sorenson has compiled a group of TF Model Sheets for characters who didn't make the cut for the Ark Compendiums both 1 and 2.

Jim gives us a little history on the creation of the Ark books and really gives a nice set up for the big list of characters to come.

You can view the first character and blog post on it here.
