Once again Simon Furman has updated his blog. In this latest entry Furman talks about the soon to be released UK Transformers Issue 3. According to Furman:

"The focus of #3’s story (and, as always, I’ll tiptoe around the fine details, so no major spoilers) is Ratchet, who (in the live-action movie incarnation of things) is much more of a brawler. Sure, he’s still a battlefield medic, but this Ratchet is quite willing to take on all-comers (and believe me, he does!). The trick with these focused ten-page character-led stories is to both tell a focused, ten-page character-led story (and make it a story in and of itself, rather than one part of six, as the overall arc is structured) and somehow find a way to sneak in cameos from other Transformers. Such is the way we’ve constructed the story (largely because we didn’t want to impact too directly on the Prequel comics and other pre-Movie stuff), with the focal Transformers scattered here and there in the far reaches of outer space (after the end of #2), it’s been a challenge to find ways to involve or reference the rest of the cast. But then, I like a challenge (it keeps things interesting), and so far so good. The ten pages of Ratchet action manages to shoehorn in a bunch of other characters, as does the Devastator story. Now, if only I can do the same for Ironhide (#5) and Jazz (#6)!"

Once again Simon Furman has updated his blog. In his latest entry Furman talks about the soon to be released UK Transformers Issue 4 and gives us some bits of information on what we can expect to see in the IDW comics. First Furman reveals that Issue #4 of the UK Transformers, featuring Devastator, will be drawn by Don Figueroa.

That means we know now who the artist for the first four issues are:
Geoff Senior Issue 1 Optimus Prime
Nick Roche Issue 2 Megatron
Andrew Wildman Issue 3 Ratchet
Don Figueroa Issue 4 Devastator

Artist Dougie Braithwaite and Guido Guidi are in the frame for other issues.

Now for some information about IDW's series. Simon revealed:
"reveal that while there will indeed be IDW Headmasters, it’s more character multiples than multiple characters (at least to start with). Might have also mentioned that while there will be no Unicron in the Infiltration/Escalation/Devastation (and so on) storyline, there might, possibly, be a passing mention of the planet-devourer in Beast Wars!!"

The Megatron: Origin miniseries is due to hit comic book retailers in May. This highly anticipated series features some great new designs, as well, as characterization for everybody's favorite Mr. Mean, Megatron!

At Alex Milne's DeviantArt account he has shown an internal page or two from one of the books in the series. At the time of this report, DeviantArt's site is down, so I cannot provide you with the links there, but there is a link to a picture here.

Enjoy Megatron in all his madness this summer from IDW!

Check back for an update with the link to (hopefully) another internal picture when DeviantArt comes back online.

    "Megatron: Origin

Before allegiance, rank and function—before war—a civilian will become a warrior, a warrior will become a leader. As a leader he will learn of the most powerful weapon on the planet—a weapon powerful enough to bind legions to his will—a faction named DECEPTICON. This landmark story brings the major players of the faction together for the first time in a seminal story for MEGATRON, the DECEPTICONS, and THE GREAT WAR.

Written by Eric Holmes with art by Alex Milne. Coming in May!"
