TCC Issue #55!The BotCon 2014 reveals begin this issue! This coming weekend, our fellow Malaysian fans will be able to attend one of the biggest Asian Expos to date: Hasbro Transformers Expo Malaysia 2014, opening this Friday at the Arena of Stars in Gensing. Thanks to an article in The Star Online, we have a brief look at what's in store for the event - read on below or head here for the full piece!

“I am equally happy to note that the world’s iconic movie and toy brand, Hasbro Transformers, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2014,” he said before launching the event at Resorts World Genting yesterday.

He said he was confident that with the good weather and upcoming major developments, Malaysians and regional visitors would flock to Genting, which received over 20 million tourists annually.

Nazri also expressed pride that Malaysian artists had created the special 7m-tall figurine of Optimus Prime and the 5.4m-tall figurine of Bumblebee as some of the exclusive highlights of the expo.

There will also be a showcase of more than 1,520 limited edition Transformers figurines and memorabilia contributed by Transmy, a group of Malaysian Transformers fans.

Also making an appearance is a Chevrolet’s Camaro, which transformed into Bumblebee in the films.

Thanks to attraction and theme park website BehindTheThrills.com, we get a look at some of the preparation over at Universal Studios Hollywood in advance of the celebration of the new Chinese lunar year on February 9th, the by now well known, thanks to exclusive figures, Year of the Horse. The article mentions out the appearance in the park of the Mandarin-speaking character in Transformers: Age of Extinction, as well as the bilingual interactive Megatron from Transformers 3D: The Ride. Every year in February, the Asahikawa festival takes place, in which sculptors and snow enthusiasts join for a week of white-covered fun. Last year, we saw Autobot leader Optimus' Prime towering over the festivities, in his TF: Prime incarnation, but it looks like official sponsors Takara Tomy has big plans for the 30th Transformers Anniversary: an early release of TF4 toys, probably the First Edition Optimus Prime, and a Transformers Room in the hotel! 55th Asahikawa Winter Festival × Transformers collaboration confirmed - 6-11 February 2014
This year marks the 55th iteration of the "Asahikawa Winter Festival", and will feature huge snow sculptures of Transformers, this being their 30th anniversary! In addition, there will be a range of fun collaborations!

The third collaboration between Transformers and Asahikawa Winter Festival is confirmed!

Over the past couple of weeks, Auto Assembly 2014 have been releasing a number of news pieces relating to their hotel bookings, guests and exclusives announcements. This post catches us up on what is going on in the land of Europe's biggest Transformers convention!

First up is their profile on special guest Townsend Coleman, voice actor for Transformers: Animated Sentinel Prime and Tracks, and voice of Rewind in the G1 series. You can find it here.

Their second update concerns one of the exclusive free postcards available to all attendees, with art by Ed Pirrie. The first one in the series features the character portrayed by another of this year's guests, Peter Spellos: Robots in Disguise (both the cartoon and now the IDW comics series) Sky-Bite!

Our friends at TFcon dropped by to let us know that retired Hasbro designer/team lead Aaron Archer will be attending the 2014 event in Toronto.

At TFcon Toronto 2014 fans will have the opportunity to interact with Mr. Archer for the first time since his retirement from Hasbro via Q&A Panels as well as one on one on the exhibitor floor.

This will be our last update from the 2014 UK Toy Fair. See below for some more toy news, as well as some cool pictures from around the show!

Some information from HTI: They will offer two track sets, subject to approval. One track set will be an Optimus Prime Challenge, consisting of a truck with a trailer and red track pieces with loop. The track will emerge from the front grill, and the goal will be to hit the target that has Bumblebee artwork. Set to include two diecase cars, Bumblebee and Lockdown, the grey Lamboghini (named as Lockdown on the package.)

In addition, a Grimlock track will be offered. It will contain a red track that ends at a Grimlock T-Rex. Cars will go up the dino's back for a jump, and Bumblebee car will be included.

From Sambro International, we have some first looks at upcoming games based upon Transformers: Age of Extinction.
